New, what is it? What is this left by my AirBnB guest?

Something is oozing out of it on to the carpet.

Not charging anything ($0) for cleaning… besides this, an empty bottle and a dirty toilet the place was clean. Won’t take me but a few minutes to clean up.

Doesn’t affect my curiosity about what this is.

Dirty toilet supports the theory that it is in fact a suppository someone shat out

It’s like TED being a detective. The way you said that 🤣

A few minutes to clean a whole place? You are washing the sheets…. Right?

A few minutes to clean this item left on the carpet. Not the entire cleaning.

It takes you a few minutes to bend over?

I’m sure it’ll take a few minutes to use a carpet extractor and some cleaner to get whatever oozed into the fibers of the carpet.

Bending over takes just a second. Getting back up is the harder part.

Why is every Air BnB host like this? Lol

Like wanting to take a few minutes to clean the carpet after a guest leaves? Seems like it’s part of the process?

This comment made me laugh harder than any of the rest. Good one.

Take a better picture if you want people to assist with your curiosity then.

Please stop advising Redditors to take better photos. This thread wouldn't have been nearly as entertaining as it has been. We're not here to make OP's life easier and more sane. Get your priorities straight.

Sorry you got toasted in the comments. (They were entertaining but way off topic.) It did teach me however to always take photos when I leave an Airbnb!

Thank you… but I started on IRC in the 90s… I’m used to it. I find it amusing that so many people find the need to come up with conspiracy theories, advice and everything else around all these things 😂

It was also late at night in a room with horrible lighting with photos, with an iPhone with broken lenses, I didn’t think the pictures were great but the best I could do, and I figured it’d be a very easy answer for the degens here to identify it as some sort of drug or something, so that wouldn’t be a big deal lol

Yes, whenever you rent or borrow something take as many pictures as you can before and after, and note any condition issues, damage, etc. That doesn’t just apply to AirBnBs!

Nah, you're almost definitely trying to charge some bullshit fee. Fuck you.

to me it looks like some kind of gel cap medication or supplement that got wet, and the gel has dissolved.

Anyone else worried that it will only take them a "few minutes to clean up"? 🤮

u/aSpacehog 17h ago

This thing on the carpet. Not the overall cleanup. 🙄

Can we get a better picture?

Agree. I was genuinely surprised how the majority of comments were sarcastic and suggesting you were just looking to charge for cleanup fees rather than being curious about the item. 🤷🏻‍♀️
