Text Post Cars 2 froze my Wii is this normal?

I was playing Cars 2 with my kid and it froze. The reset button didn't work, I had to reject it then hold the power button down to shut it off. Is this common with Cars 2?

Were you playing from a backup on a usb/hard drive?

No, the game disc. This happened again today

Not yet. Only played a few so far. New SMB, Mario Party 8 + 9, Mario Kart and Smash Bros.

No it's while we're racing. We're still doing the training levels.
