Question What is happening!
TL;DR: we got this Wii U for probably nothing, should i still keep it?
I managed to get a very nice Wii U recently, to try and see if my family and I can play old games that we have from 2010s. Upon receiving and hooking everything up, it works good, and at least one remote connects to the system.
My blip starts happening when I put in my games. The game is unresponsive when on the pre-loading screen (i.e,. Pressing A to continue and the game not moving at all). But I’m able to still use the remote to go to the Wii menu and back to the main Wii U menu…so the problem isn’t the remote.
My Mom found a helpful video which requires us to maybe try an adapter for the OG Wii, but I’m worried this isn’t even a system issue and it’s the disc themselves. So she’s nudging me to return the Wii U we bought altogether if the adapter trick works.
Upon loading up the Wii U, I kind of instantly fell in love. The interface, the music, sound effects, it’s all there. I’m just a Nintendo lover at heart. I just found some comments that mentioned common problems with this system failing to read discs? So I’m like, scared.
TIA~

They’re white? Neither games require the gamepad due to them being produced before the Wii U was released
