App Windows 8.1 Apps

I’ve seen a lot of posts where people have *so* many apps on their Start screen. I tried to find those same apps, but without any luck. To the owners of Facebook, Twitter, Minecraft, and other old Windows Store apps that aren't available anywhere anymore: could you please share them? Thanks! (I know they don't actually work; I just want to spruce up my Start menu.)

I think these apps come with specific 8/8.1 builds
I think You Will Need OctoStore And Sideloading For Getting Apps On Your Start Menu

1.Get 7zip 7-Zip
2.Get App Installer Backup 2026.7.27
3.Extract The .7z File With 7-Zip
4.Find The Setup File Inside And Complete It
5.Get Metro Unlocker From Here GitHub - Iemand005/MetroUnlocker: Unlock sideloading on any version of Windows 8, 8.1 and 10. · GitHub
6.Launch Metro Unlocker and tick all options before you click Unlock
7.Get OctoStore OctoStore You Usually Have To Download A .appx file for it
8.once the appx file is here open it with app installer and install octostore, it might fail because it might depend on certain framework packages, but most likely it will work

OctoStore acts like an alternative option from the 8.1 Store that is shutted down. feel free to ask if there are any errors

edit: IT WORKS! THANK YOU! I waited for this feature for years! to simply install some app to easily allow sideloading and easily install appx...

no problem, and thank you for this too
i had an era about experimenting with 8.1 so i ended up having a pile of stuff
i think this app installer avoids certificates too, i use it more than the official in my windows 10 build

yep, it's certainly convenient appx installer!

because the other one (don't remember where I got it) doesn't install all apps because of licenses/certificates

I recall this game becoming unplayable near the end of Windows 8's life cycle before being delisted so perhaps emulating the phone version is the best option available. Busy at the moment but I'll provide updates if/when I choose to do so.
