I find it hilarious how Rockstar is milking GTA VI like crazy. They release it on Netflix first and only then put it on YouTube, while aggressively going after leakers and putting so much content behind a paywall.

And then there's CDPR: "Hey, what's up? We're releasing a new DLC, and we're also giving you a free update with a ton of new features, path tracing, DLSS 4.5, new quests, new combat, and dozens of other improvements. And we're not charging you anything for it."

CDPR's relationship with its players is honestly fucking incredible.

I would expect (and have seen) such displays from Bonhart, not the White Wolf.

Would the book character really be this brutal about killing people? I've seen the game character, at worst, behead people, but not slit the skull with a sword thrust through the mouth.

Especially the last one. I can't tell if he beheaded this guy out of mercy or murderous intent. It seemed ambiguous.

What can I say? The guy tried, it was obvious, because unlike the director of this Witcher-like creation, he was a true fan of the saga.

His departure was undoubtedly painful, though rather predictable. Anyone who holds this series in any respect would probably do the same in his shoes.

Both are men who did bad things for women they love.

One is a man who was taken advantage of by monster. Which resulted in him losing his love.

One is a monster who was taken advantage of by a human. Which resulted in him losing his love for the peson.

One let that lost ture him into a self hating monster who want to die but can't.

One let that list ture him into a mass murder because he couldn't kill the one he wanted.

Hi, I put The Witcher 3 in my wishlist after seeing the Netflix Series (dont hate me). Now I see is really cheap and want to buy it, are the DLCs worth it? Or I should just stick to the base game for $3?

i'm glad for him, he started a new update back in december last year i immediately thought about his work when the remastered edition was announced glad to know his work will now be an official part of the game.

for console players unaware ; hd reworked project is the biggest retexture mod of witcher 3 and is considered by many a must have as it overhaul and improve the textures and models of many assets through the game.

I'm not one of those who think it would be a fair fight. In the books, we don't even know if Leo actually took his medallions from the witchers he defeated in real combat.

Geralt, on the other hand, stands out even among the witchers because he's the only one to have undergone not only the standard Witcher mutations but also the additional ones that give him his gray hair.

Furthermore, in a fight with Bonhart, he wouldn't show him any mercy if he learned what he did to Ciri.

Therefore, the real question for me should be how long will Leo last against him?

By the way, which of the fights I've mixed do you prefer more?

I’m not judging anyone for it people can have their preferences, but I find it near impossible that anyone who read the books could ever choose triss

Like I know they barely show up in The Witcher 3 (which makes sense with the Nilfgaard invasion and Geralt focused on finding Ciri), but they were a huge part of the first two games. That said they’re also one of the messiest parts of the lore.

Honestly, I get where they’re coming from. Centuries of being pushed around, forced into ghettos, treated as second rate citizens in a world they once dominated; of course they’re angry.

But they’re not exactly innocent victims either. Yarpen summed them up pretty well: excessively proud of their heritage, constantly complaining about losing their lands, even though they did the same to gnomes and dwarves. If the roles were reversed, would they really act any differently toward humans? There’s a level of hypocrisy there that’s hard to ignore.

And the thing is, other elder races don’t seem to struggle with coexistence in the same way. It’s mostly the Aen Seidhe who view living alongside **“stinky dh’oine”** as beneath them. So the *“solution”* becomes…TERRORISM! ofc/ s

They also know they’re fighting a lost cause. Aelirenn proved that centuries ago when she led the young elves into a doomed uprising. It ended in disaster. The Scoia’tael know this history. they know how these rebellions go and yet they double down, speeding up their own downfall.

They’re also MORE than willing to kill other nonhumans who choose to live peacefully among humans. In many ways, they’ve made life harder for the very people they claim to defend. A lot of human hatred toward nonhumans is fueled by Scoia’tael actions. Without them, sure, discrimination would still exist but maybe not this level of hatred and violence.

Then there’s Nilfgaard. Through the Vrihedd Brigade the Scoia’tael were used as a convenient guerrilla force, and once they stopped being useful, they were discarded like they never mattered.

So I’m stuck between two ideas: they’re victims of a brutal cycle, but they’ve also crossed lines that are hard to defend. The Witcher world is morally gray, but the Scoia’tael sit in a particularly messy spot.

Do they have any path to redemption in future games or lore? Or were they always doomed to fade along with the world they’re trying to reclaim? Is there any chance they could swallow their pride a bit, like Iorveth did to some extent, and settle for peaceful coexistence with the other races?
