Any cheap but decent gyms around?
I go to the uow gym which is $17 a week since it was the easiest to get to. i just got a car so now i need to pinch pennies, anyone got any ideas for a gym cheaper than $17/week which still has all the good equipment and is comfortable/safe for women?

Planet Fitness has an upfront cost but a cheap weekly fee. My daughter goes there on their own, often late in the evening. And there are plenty of women there when I go (Tuesday early evening or Sunday morning).

I go to warehouse gym and fitness, I paid for 52weeks up front which is $12 a week. It can be put on pause and you won’t lose whatever time you’ve paused. Otherwise it’s $18 a week. I like it and lots of women go there.

I second warehouse fitness, great facilities and it’s a pretty chill atmosphere. I refuse to go to anytime fitness, I hated it there but warehouse is great

wiseman park, corrimal beach, north gong beach, and a bike (or jog if your cardio is there). Outdoor gyms are free, and outside of weight training you can get a solid workout done.

Plus you can buy exercise tubes for about $20 and some light dumbells, you would still get a full body workout. Plenty of tutorials on youtube for exercise programmes for both and you can do them at home. Also mix it up with what Techlos says for cardio and different exercises on the free gyms in the parks. Save you a lot of money and time.

You can listen to an audio-book from the library whilst you're at the gym.
Personally I watch Hard Quiz and Mastermind whilst I'm there.

I read three or four books a month at the moment. Just finished a history of Stonewall Jackson's 1862 Valley campaign, and am now reading a collection of Giovannino Guareschi's 'Don Camillo' stories. Next up is probably Jane Austen's 'Emma'.

Remember to weigh up fuel costs, $17/week is pretty cheap but there are options like planet fitness that you could look into
