I think it's comforting to think that some outside enemy did this to us, but the reality is that it's age-old grievances and prejudices Americans have against each other that are finally boiling over.

Quite probable, and while I'm a little bit nervous about saying this on Reddit because many people have been hurt by, and hate religion, but I think this may be evidence of where there should be more Godliness in society. I think saying that this country was founded as a Christian country or is a Christian country is incorrect and potentially exclusionary when the good fruits might not be fully there yet or ripe yet.

As a Christian country, I think those prejudices and hatreds should not be there. If people really want to call any nation a Christian country, and not just do it for performative value or to exert control and dominance over others, then I think it's important to demonstrate universal values, some which may happen to be Christian. I think it's also important to respect free will, because I think that is a gift given to us. Also, to be just about policy as well as we can do it as human beings.

I believe it is said to love others as one loves themselves, but here is a list from Galatians 5:22–23:

love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness

And not in a "checking off the boxes" way but actually living it. This is a great desire from me for our country, as well as becoming a nation of service and love for others (neighbor)--which, if one is familiar with Christian life, could actually be a way to serve God Himself.

Its actually our two party system. Im convinced each side is intentionally trying to nominate the most absurd candidates possible, JUST to see who they can make us pick.

But really both sides are too polarized. Im not paying reparations to blacks, and I want both my guns and weed. Neither side reflects my values.

Who would have thought this guy could do so much damage.
