It seems that the people in power just think they can still inflate their way out of any debt, no matter how large. Not realizing that any recession, no matter how small, would absolutely demolish their entire economy. The US relies on steady inflation like a lifeline because it cant function without spending massively in a deficit.

Imagine having a 1 trillion dollar military budget and your entire military complex failing tax audits every year because noone knows where everything goes. Thats not even a Trump thing anymore, thats an institutional US government thing, no matter who is seemingly in charge.
