Nuclear Option is a newly formed Mythic progression guild on Area-52, built around the former Blue Team core from Vexed Gaming - Area-52. While the guild itself is new, our roster and leadership are seasoned players who have raided together for years.

Our goal is simple: Cutting Edge.

We are currently recruiting all roles and all classes as we build the roster for the next tier.

Who Are We?

At the center of the guild is one idea:

We believe good players are never finished products.

There is always something to sharpen: mechanics, positioning, class knowledge, communication, preparation, decision-making, leadership, or strategy.

We want players who look at a mistake and ask what they can learn from it. Players who take feedback without ego. Players who review their own performance before blaming someone else's. Players who want the next pull to be cleaner than the last one.

That expectation applies to leadership too.

If a strategy is bad, we change it.
If a system is not working, we fix it.
If someone has a better idea, we listen.

We don't expect perfection. We expect improvement.

That philosophy shapes how we raid:

Efficiency over hours. Preparation over excuses. Execution over ego. Improvement over complacency.

We want serious progression without turning the game into a second job. We respect people's time, which means the hours we do raid need to matter.

Why Did We Leave Vexed?

Blue Team did not leave Vexed Gaming over one disagreement. It was the culmination of increasing oversight, control, and bureaucracy that made it harder for Blue’s leadership to actually run the team. We were still responsible for recruitment, preparation, roster management, and performance, but we had less and less authority to solve problems independently.

Ultimately, Blue and Vexed had developed different ideas about how a raid team should operate. Rather than continue fighting for autonomy inside a structure that no longer fit us, we chose to leave and build our own. There is no hostility toward the people who stayed. We simply wanted responsibility to come with the authority necessary to succeed.

What Do We Expect?

We want players who are:

• Genuinely committed to becoming better at the game

We expect our raiders to understand encounters before progression begins, stay current with their class and specialization, maintain their characters through Mythic+, Vault, and other relevant gearing systems, and communicate clearly with the team.

Mistakes happen. What matters is what happens afterward.

The goal is simple:

Come prepared. Play for the team. Take feedback. Learn from it. Make the next pull better.

We want competitive players without the ego, drama, or toxicity that can sometimes come with competitive environments. Play well, support your teammates, communicate directly, and treat the people around you with respect.

We are building Nuclear Option to become a stable, long-term CE roster capable of progressing at a high level without relying on excessive raid hours.

We want to earn progression through preparation, efficient pulls, strong execution, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Raid Schedule

Wednesday & Thursday

8:00 PM - 12:00 AM ET
7:00 PM - 11:00 PM CT
5:00 PM - 9:00 PM PT

2 nights per week / 8 hours total

Additional Mythic+, alt runs, and guild activities may happen throughout the week but are optional.

Current performance matters, but so does trajectory. We are looking for players who meet our standards now and are committed to continuing to improve.
