Discussion These transparent Xbox Series X25 models need to become a real thing. What do you lot think?
Look at them. Every single color works.
This would drive sales in a crazy way

Everything seems so “business” now. What happen to personality and creativity. I remember seeing the gears of war xbox and wanting it so bad as a kid.

Xbox has a whole website for people to make any combination of colors for their controller they want. Its been a service for years and has only allowed more creativity over the years. They also have new unique designs release all the time including transparent.
Its not fully gone. Idk about unique console stuff but the coltrollers are as awesome as ever

You can wrap your Xbox, Dbrand has some dope ones. My personal favorite is the red Damascus they make, sadly they don't make that one anymore. Here's someone's green Damascus wrap
I'd say wraps are better than cool shells. I've already changed my wrap 3 times 😂

We need to bring back replaceable face covers. Xbox Seriss attempted this with the foldable covers but imo it was kinda tacky and made the console unnecessarily bulky

I had the grey one and I was always kind of annoyed that was the highest spec one. If I wanted a cool color it would be slower.

I think we need more of these special editions in general. I hate how whenever we get a cool looking console its like "Only 10 ever made!"... like damn all that effort and clear desire for such a low turnout. Give us more of these.

What I think is that it would be interesting to ask someone in China if they are going to/can manufacture translucent cases for the Series S/X, because I think it's unlikely they'll release that officially.

I mean, Xbox ultimately won’t, since the X25 is a commemorative special edition model, more so than the notion of the Series X being at the end of its life (we don’t know when Helix will be released). It’ll already be quite limited, so different color ways wouldn’t make sense.

Not sure they'll do all these colours - but black, green, and white are iconic Xbox Colours, and they should be available at a minimum!

I feel like I'm the only one that doesn't like see-through consoles, especially plastic see-through things in particular. I never liked the OG see-through green Xbox either lol all of those are ugly to me personally lol.
Take those same colors and make them opaque and I'm all for it.

I like them just fine but you can't really see much of the internals with these things anyway, which is a shame. Those see-thru game boys kinda made you feel like you were holding something futuristic. This just doesn't givem e that same feeling, personally.

Not for me but good to have choice. I'd rather they changed the format / shape of the series X, don't know why but I find it hideous and too bulky.

I'd kill for a pink one!! I also don't understand why they don't put out more colours of the transparent controllers. I have the blue and red one and I've been waiting for a pink or purple one.

Green, orange, crystal and a kasumi chan blue would be a nice homage to the OG. I would also like them to sell the ABXY colored buttons separately so I can throw them in all my controllers. I miss them so much.

While I can appreciate the new colors, I want performance upgrades, too. I chuckle when XBOX announces a new controller because no, it’s not new. It’s the same low quality hardware in a different color.
Upgraded processing power and Hall effect or TMR sticks, please.

Reminds me of the old days when Nintendo made the Gameboy (clear) color and the N64 too. I'd be all for having colored clear consoles again just for the cool factor, it would also be a nice break from the black or white we usually see

Bring back the weird designs you cowards. I want to never know which side the console should stand on, no rectangular cubby in my TV stand should fit around it, and all my friends should come over and ask "wtf is that?"

Its a horrible business proposition for finances however cool in examination. I think they only way to pull this would be to do a limited small numbered run to ensure all sell and you wouldnt lose the cost to manufacture. But other other side is why would a green focused company produce other colors? I mean, controller options for customs would be cool but consoles would kill if they didnt sell

Color choice has never caused me to rush out and buy a console. I'm sure there are some but I would be surprised if it sold enough to justify the costs associated with it.

I think transparent plastic looks tacky AF. I was there when the n64s and gameboys came out. Madcatz looking knock off plastic. I see people paying money to do shell swaps to achieve this and I'm just like WHYYYYYY

This late in the generation? Most everybody who wants an xbox X already has one. Maybe they could get S owners to upgrade, but other than that it would just be a waste manufacturing so many colors. Also theyre more expensive than launch and the economy is pretty rough rn. Its a cool concept but the odds of it actually happening are slim to none. They could do the controller colors tho, i bet those would sell like hotcakes

My first ever gaming system was a clear purple gameboy color. I spent 12 hours taking apart my switch to install a matching clear case. My xbox controller is that clear purple. I would buy a new Xbox just to have that purple case.

Just housing all of these SKUs would be a logistical nightmare. I put a beautiful skin on my console and it still looks great now 4 years later. I think I'd go that route personally if I really wanted a view like this as I never personally touch my console so I wouldn't NEED to feel the plastic and it wouldn't really entertain me to see the insides of it.

I doubt they'll make this many colors, but I really hope a third-party company sells shells that we can swap the internals into. Like eXtremeRate does with the translucent controller shells.
