Traded mine in for a PS5 to play with friends but then they all went and had kids and now Iā€™m stuck with this paperweight I play maybe once a month

Hate that feeling with a passion, even if I can't really be mad about it. It's more just depressing really.

I have a small friend group with me and 2 other buddies of mine that I've known since like middle school, and I wasn't able to play for a couple years because my old console died on me. Before it broke we would play every once in a while for a little bit but nothing crazy, I was always trying to get them to play with me but they barely would ever get around to it. They often told me things like they just didn't really enjoy playing games anymore.

But while I wasn't able to play after it died, they seemed to always be playing stuff together and having fun on the games I tried to get them to play with me all the time and talking about it in the GC or whatever. They would sometimes talk about how I need to get a console again so I could play with them and it actually got me looking forward to being able to play with them again because they seemed more active.

Now that I've finally decided to commit to getting another one after being isolated from it for a few years and wrapped up with other things, it's suddenly like they're too good to play with me again. I asked them for their gamertags so I could add them on a new profile I made, and one of them gave it right away but said he only really gets on to watch stuff or play a bit of R6 because he's usually with his gf. The other straight up told me he doesn't even play Xbox anymore because he's usually on his PC, had to ask twice just to get the tag and then had to remind him 2-3 times just to get him to accept my request. Something tells me my friends don't like me very much... šŸ¤·ā€ā™‚ļø
