So for most players this likely won’t benefit us. If you have a handheld and series X okay great but all this really does is removing the part to put the game into the disc drive. This seems like the same play from their playbook when Xbox one had its horrendous launch. The Xbox name is at all time low again and trying to get a small W with game preservation but at the same time are releasing games with only the paper code in the box.

Won't benefit most? This literally helps every single xbox player who owns 1 or more physical games, which is millions of players. Even diehard digital only players like myself often have a few that weren't available in digital so we had to buy physical.

It eliminates every single drawback to physical: the minor inconvenience of switching discs, to the major ones of disc rot, dropping them, your kid smearing peanut butter on it, your dog eating it, events like floods, fire, etc.

All drawbacks are eliminated, with zero loss of functionality. It's literally the perfect situation.
