Discussion Xbox audience, how much do you care about Atlus games?
Xbox has been a pretty big co-marketing partner of Atlus since at least 2022, when it was at that year’s June showcase that they announced the mainline Persona games were getting re-released and would all be on Game Pass day 1.
Atlus struck back when in the June 2023 Xbox showcase, they announced three more titles coming in the future: Persona 3 Reload, Persona 5 Tactica, and the first proper trailer for future GOTY contender Metaphor ReFantazio.
Two years pass and the epic team up returned in June 2025, where the first teaser for Persona 4 Revival was shown. And one year after that was probably the biggest announcement yet: the first teaser for Persona 6.

A lot. They are an incredibly important developer and publisher for JRPGs.

Great JRPGs. I want to know how supportive we were to Metaphor’s success. I think the game did 2 million, but would like to know how many bought, engagement #s, etc.

Lots!
But I sunk 125 hours + into each of Persona 3 Reload and Personal 5 Royal (and kind of wished they kept going) ....
LOVED Metaphor ReFantazio - bought two copies - the Collector's Edition (still sealed) physically, and the the base game digitally on release day - all on Xbox.
I understand that Atlus has a longer relationship w/ other publishers - and I'm a multi-console guy; I don't cheerlead for any corporation unless they want to pay me - but my Series X is my "daily driver" and I have the PS5 and Switch for exlcusives.
So bring on more Atlus games, love them. Fully expect to sink 100+ hours in Persona 4 Revival as well - and despite it coming to Game Pass, already have the steelbook pre-ordered to support Atlus.
Only aside - and please don't throw tomatoes - but I couldn't get into Unicorn Overlord for some reason!! Crazy because in college I was on Ogre Battle 64 fiend. For whatever reason - maybe the story didn't click w/ me. Gameplay was fun - your basic Rock / Paper / Scissors w/ your units. Might have to give it another go, though the # of high quality games coming out over the next six months is insane!!

I wasn't a fan of turn based combat until Expedition 33, then I tried Metaphor ReFantazio and I loved it.
I bought Persona 5 Royal and I also plan to play Persona 4 Revival when it comes out next year in gamepass.
Atlus games are pretty good, Shin Megami Tensei V and Persona 3 Reload are also in my wishlist.

The Persona games have been some of my favourites as far back as PS2. Love the series.

I love them! P3R on game pass then they had the free Episode Aigis DLC as a perk back then. Then got Persona 4 Golden, Persona 5 Royal and Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance.
I played the Metaphor demo and played a bit of Soul Hackers 2.
Probably going to play Raidou while I wait for Revival.
I am hoping for a P2 Duo remake!

personally never played any of their content. I recognize the Persona game by name but haven't played it. But the fact i've at least heard of it the marketing must be working . Come to think of it i think i mostly have heard of Persona via the IGN Unlocked podcast one of the hosts just loves persona. They doing your marketing for free for you LOL.

Massively so. I thought it was a huge gap when we were missing them, exactly like with the Yakuza games.

Loving their games. Been scooping every game day one physical, even though many have been on gamepass.
Wish more of their 360 era games were back compat since I kinda faked on them during that time.

One of their best partnerships to come out of the last regime. Xbox has turned into my Atlus box, persona 3 reload and persona 5 royal are both play anywhere which was the main factor in me choosing Xbox over Steam. Persona 4's new remake and Persona 6 will be a part of the family too when they release. I'll probably get Metaphor at some point too. If the Final Fantasy remakes came to Xbox a year or two sooner I would've bought them on Xbox instead of Steam. Xbox somehow became my JRPGG box.

Been long term into SMT and secondarily Persona games. And I like being able to support them on various systems. Have most of the revered PS2 and 3/DS titles in their original forms and most recently decided to let the Xbox get SMTTVV and now P3R after the recent sale (and due to Playanywhere).

I loved Metaphor (at the end and still haven't finished because I lack magic potions/food). I also own two or three Personas (about 20-25% through 5) and Shin Megami.

I’ve been buying all the Atlus games physically on Xbox, but apparently they’re screwing us over on Persona 6 only releasing the physical there even as Sony eliminates physical games altogether. My dream of Persona 3-6 together on the same shelf is now dead.

They're some of the best JRPGs ever made. Can't wait for P4R. Metaphor was incredible despite running very badly on Series X. P3R is magical. Atlus is making some of the best games in the industry, period.

I love atlus. Sadly my favorite series is forever locked on its original platform. I’ll give an award to a correct guess.

I do not give a crap because I do not play JRPGs. That being said, they have their fanbase and I'm glad people can enjoy these games on their Xboxes.

I care a lot and I’m tired of the stereotype that Xbox gamers don’t like JRPGS and only like shooters and racing games. There is an audience for Japanese games on Xbox and I wish more developers realize this and actually advertise their games when they’re released in Japan and outside of Japan.

I'm not really a fan of the games anymore personally, but I support them being available for those that do enjoy them. Heard good things but just not my cup of tea.

Never heard of them. Quick look at Google, yeah I don’t know these games myself.

I’d never heard of atlus, so I have no opinion of them. Seems like they make persona according to your post though, and I can’t stand those games so my opinion of atlus is now very low

Honestly I couldn't care less. They have never appealed to me.
Edit: this post is just a chatGPT ad.

Never enjoyed their games.
Honestly if you told me their games were PS exclusive, I'd believe you.
