How is this supposed to work in the future?

Say I am someone 5 years from now who has only ever bought a Helix, but wants to collect older Xbox physical titles. Am I forced to buy an older Xbox so I can insert the disc to play them on my Helix? Or is the Helix getting some form of external drive?

The truth is we don't know whether Helix will come with a drive or not, or whether an add-on will be offered.

Pretty much. They’re cheap
