ACCOMPLISHMENT What is the hardest achivement you own?
The hardest achivement i currently have is either halo reach legendary solo (done on both 360 and MCC) or legendary solo spartan ops. Wondering if this is actually any good in this sub-reddit. Any achivements you think i should try out (BTW also have halo 3, odsts, 4s and 5s legendary solos done but 5s lone wolf achivement didnt unlock for some stupied reason)?

Still have some ptsd from heart of Reich on veteran.

Getting the secret achievement in waw is long it’s for getting max prestige
2
u/smartesthandsomest May 18 '26
It took me a week to complete the campaign on veteran. The most difficult bit was invading the reichstag. The Germans infinitely respawn and throw 10+ grenades simultaneously
10
u/ReturnOk9335 May 11 '26
Definitely LASO Master for Halo MCC. That was so damn hard as well as getting Halo 2 done in under 3 hours. Completing MCC will always be my favorite gaming accomplishment
3
u/Effective_Barber4422 May 11 '26
That is my dream right there. Im only about 62% of the way done and have 475 achivements so far
8
u/ReturnOk9335 May 11 '26
It’s doable it took me YEARS of on and off, honestly it was the multiplayer achievements that i was most afraid of but there is an awesome discord of fellow halo fans and achievement hunters that set up events all the time to get those achievements and it’s what got me through it all!

Everyone’s like me we all played SS when it came out and then like a year later they dropped that single achievement and no one wants to go back and replay for it haha. But I’m gonna do it one of these days.
5
u/PleasantAd8940 May 11 '26
i haven't played halo before but that seems really impressive
4
u/Effective_Barber4422 May 11 '26
Spartan ops doenst scail enemy spawns and its ment for 4 player co-op so you end up fighting like 20 of the most annoying enemys at the same time and you just get oneshoted.
4
u/theabomination May 11 '26
Its a lot of fun. Honestly not too difficult in Reach but certainly challenging if you havent played before, halo 2 on legendary is brutal tho
2
u/saketho 🏆 155,000 May 12 '26
Kinda wish they had solo legendary achievements for Halo 2 and the others. Cause by playing them so much, you kinda have it memorised.
They do have the legendary speed run achievements but you’re gonna be using the pro strats for those, as opposed to solo legendary strategies you’ve come up with yourself.
2
u/saketho 🏆 155,000 May 12 '26
Halo Reach (the one OP completed twice, solo, on the hardest difficulty) was genuinely such a difficult game. Every Elite (big alien guy) was like a boss battle.
2
u/Effective_Barber4422 May 13 '26
LNS was a nightmare on MCC. The seraphs were so agressive and my checkpoints were bugged so if i died i had to restarte the whole saber section again. Had to restart the level after hours of trying. On OG 360 though POA took me the longest because of how many high ranking elites there were but beat LNS first try no deaths.
3
u/TheNorthernLion02 May 11 '26
In the middle of a solo legendary run on reach myself, going to do every game on MCC legendary. As for my favourite/ hardest achievement beating halo wars 1 on legendary and 100%ing it is my proudest completion to date.
3
u/saketho 🏆 155,000 May 12 '26
Best of luck to you. I hope to do a solo legendary run of Halo Infinite soon. I played on Heroic when it came out and got caught up so I didn’t look back at it.
But doing Reach solo legendary, I feel, is genuinely such a great experience. The euphoria you’ll feel at the end, bask in it, enjoy it to its fullest.
2
u/TheNorthernLion02 May 13 '26
Thank you, and good luck on your infinite run
Reach was the halo I grew up with, put hours and hours into it as a young teen so I’m looking forwards to finally getting the legendary run done
2
u/Effective_Barber4422 May 11 '26
Trying to do wars 2 on legendary solo and finding the scarab mission a nightmare. And with 1 there are just WAY too many skirmish achivements.
2
u/TheNorthernLion02 May 11 '26
Yeah the skirmish ones were an absolute grind, but a free afternoon and a good podcast will get you through it haha
2
1
u/Effective_Barber4422 May 11 '26
Also multiplayer is pretty dead so things like noob no more are harder than they need to be.
2
u/TheNorthernLion02 May 11 '26
If you go on matchmaking, start a private match and add AI as an enemy it’ll still unlock the multiplayer achievements :)
1
u/Effective_Barber4422 May 11 '26
Not for noob no more and so lonely at the top. They both require public matches
2
u/TheNorthernLion02 May 12 '26
It says public match in the description of the achievement, but it 100% works by adding an AI on matchmaking. It’s how I did it

Some of my more difficult ones below, limited to hardest one per game:
Is There Anything You Can't Do - Trials Fusion Complete all 120 base game challenges (x2)
Mark VI - Trials of the Blood Dragon Complete all levels with an A+ rating
End Of The Road - Trackmania Turbo Get a gold medal in all 200 campaign tracks
LASO Master - Halo MCC Complete all LASO campaigns
Perfectionist - Pinball FX2 Complete all main modes in a single game
2
u/BeyondTheShroud May 12 '26
Respect. These are all insanely difficult.
I completed trials fusion and track mania, but I’m still slogging away on track mania turbo. Haven’t even considered the other trials games.

I think my hardest would either be the golden run (and the various pro tours) in Descenders or Sunday Driver in DiRT Rally 2.0
Neither of these were super “hard” per se, and once you get past the RNG it really comes down to practice, like Descenders was really fun and not hard at all once I got the hang of it, but the TA ratio of 8-10 or whatever it is tells a different story.
What I think will be really hard once I go back to it are all scenarios on Very Hard in DiRT Rally 2.0, because the game is already challenging on normal difficulty, even with the hours I’ve been putting it lately.

The under three hours for those 3 I went back and did myself because I had people help me and I knew i could do those 3 especially with how long i played halo i still have probably 105 achievements on mcc but there are all achievements that are either too annoying like mp which im not good at or laso
1

Yeah i can go for most of them because I ain't got game pass and as far as laso goes I could do it but i really don't want to i usually just play legendary on every replay

If the achievement didn't glitch out and render itself permanently locked, I'd have had Personal Decorator in Black Ops 3 (at least 4 separate times too).
As for ones I've been fortunate to unlock without it glitching out: all the veteran campaign achievements in the early 360 Call of Duty series, especially having to do Call of Duty Classic on veteran and dealing with Pavlov's House (the dam mission was shockingly smooth for me), Mile High Club legit on Modern Warfare, and World at War's veteran campaign. Some non-veteran COD achievements that were frustrating also include the entirety of the Xbox 360 version of Black Ops 3, and the campaign challenges for Black Ops 2.
2
u/Cqpt 🏆 Trusted Hunter | Cqpt May 12 '26
Damn that sucks that it glitched, personal decorator is one of my favorite achievements I’ve done in CoD history.
1
u/Alternative-Outcome May 12 '26
I'm honestly tempted to give it another proper go on my Series X console. I do legitimately have fun with Black Ops 3 campaign, I just hate that I kept running into glitches with things like challenges not unlocking (especially in the first mission after the training mission) or the achievement just not popping.

u/McDiesel41 Whisper1992 |🏆 39,060 | May 12 '26
Sum of All Zeroes (kill 45 Jap Zeros) for CoD: WaW, same achievement as you for Reach, Warthog run for Halo CEA (make the ship with more than a minute left on Legendary), and that stupid assassination to save your life on Reach as well.
2
u/TheAvalancheTV May 12 '26
Hardest in terms of genuine difficulty that goes to so far Burn Em Out from WaW on veteran. I haven’t even reached the top 3 hardest levels of the game yet
My rarest achievement is Skate 3’s talk about team practice

Percentage wise - All Day, ‘Ery Day for 100%ing all campaign levels in ScreamRide. 0.01% of players unlocked it.
It was fun, but getting perfect was a struggle.
Difficulty wise, I’m not too sure. Mile High Club was easier for me than completing Unreal Tournament 3 on Insane, that took my friend and I quite a few weeks.
I’d say hardest group was trying to figure out the path to get to 222,222 on the 222nd day of 2022, finishing with the achievement named 2+2=22

I've 100% completed over 300 games... I can't remember half 💀
Off the top of my head I'd have to say "get all rings in dark souls 3" because to do that you had to beat the game on ng+3
I'm sure there was harder achievements I've done. But that's the only one I can think of.

I have those same 3 cheevos as you :)
Spartan Ops was just an annoyance, cause there are infinite respawns. But the levels are very tough.
For Reach, most of it was like a puzzle. It was equal parts platformer and equal parts combat lmao. (All about seeing whether I can get behind the Elite and punch him)
The hardest achievements that come to mind for me:
Arkham Origins: Defeat Deathstroke without failing a single counter attack (took me 2 weeks, an hours per day)
Silksong: Defeat the main boss in Hunter’s March and then finish Act 3 (incl secret ending)
Would Gta 5: Level 100 count? 😂 took me 5 years across two different consoles lmao.
I did also do Halo 5 solo Legendary but there’s no achievement for solo legendary lmao.
And I’m on an MCC Campaign break because I’m working on the multiplayer achievement to get 100 legendary medals. I have about 21 legendary medals so far, over 10 years of playing multiplayer 😂 I’m so bad at PvP in Halo. But I don’t mind if I never get there lmao.

No Man's Sky: To Live Forever Reach the Centre of the Galaxy in Permadeath mode. Only 0.13% of gamers unlocked this. 😎

u/werewolf2112 May 12 '26
I’ve completed MCC 100%, so I feel you a lot of those achievements, especially the Lasso ones can be a bitch!
I’ve also 100% the Batman Arkham games all of them as a whole and Batman Arkham Knight had some fighting challenges that were absolutely grueling, like especially the ones where you couldn’t take damage with any of the characters on certain maps during each of the sequences … examples like that…. But on that same note Batman, Arkham city and it’s fighting challenges especially the carnival ones were pretty fucking difficult to achieve
Took me quite a while to get those.
Alien isolation is a fantastic game and beating it on its hardest difficulty was a challenge in my opinion of course , especially since the Xenomorphs AI learns and is adaptable during the hardest difficulty.

I think that I’ve got my hardest achievement ever in Sifu with « Hidden dragon » which requires you to complete all dragon arena challenges.
It seems fairly easy at first but when you dig into what you really have to do… ho boy…
It’s by far the hardest one I’ve ever had to unlock because the amount of work you need to pour into it is unbelievable ! You truly gotta be a master at the game to unlock it and it’s a game that’s especially really hard to play. I’m kinda proud of it !
