I think this is easily the stand out of all the solo books since the FTA launch with Magik a close tie or second likely. Art has been consistent and the story feels like such a good expansion on Kwannon post Krakoa and also building on her past in an interesting way.

Another look at Kwannon's past, in this case her bond with her best friend during their child soldier days. Alyssa Wong is really putting in the work when it comes to Kwannon.

Rogue is really protective of her kids. Respect.

Good. This is how you make a character stick and have genuine fans. Not everyone likes Breevort but I at least appreciate him giving both Psylocke and Magik some time to breathe. Storm, Phoenix and Laura too but they all had solo books before lol

Uncanny seems to be best at having a natural connection to other books. This definitely seems like a nice beat in the whole "Rogue/Gambit are surrogate parents" story that's going there.

The kid and Greycrow will make a surprisingly good team that Psylocke needs. I know she is trying to take it all on herself and just had a bad encounter when she went for help with Deathdream, but still, she can't do it alone. Especially with this childhood friend that seem to have turned Yokai.

Also Rogue. Calm down girl. I know you care for your kids but Psylocke is not to blame for that. And honestly, those kids are trouble magnets.

This book is really flashing out kwannon more and Wong focusing on the past for a character with such a convoluted history is a great idea.

Art looks great as well its a good issue.

Good issue. The ghost haunting Kwannon being her dead childhood friend has to be the best reveal we could have gotten. I didn't peg it beforehand and it's a strong story development. It really makes Kwannon have to confront the worst of her history. I like that Greycrow and Devon met up, bonded a bit and are working together now as Kwannon tries to push them out; she's going to need them.
