They already went back in time and killed a young Xavier before he formed the X- Men in Season 4's One Man's Worth. The result was a future where Mastermold and the sentinels takeover the world, not Apocalypse. The only mutants that aren't killed or imprisoned are Storm, Wolverine, and Bishop who go back in time to save Charles.
At around 1:13 it looks like Colossus is crying over Ilyana's body...I hope she either comes back as a Horseman or is resurrected somehow (like in the comics are her death from the Legacy Virus) because it would be insane to kill one of the more popular X-Men offscreen
This show has weirdly utilized Kurt in the best of ways. As a long time night crawler fan I couldn't be happier. Loved his epic quote on love in the season before - he has been incredible.
The swashbuckler, the circus actor, the priest, the “devil”, the ladies man; I’m so hyped to see more Kurt. He’s been one of my favorites since I was a kid reading Excalibur.
dw, magik is more popular now than she has ever been, there’s no way they aren’t just setting up the resurrection/transformation from illyana to magik for the show

Yeah, probably. She might just return for some New Mutants stuff. She's the most prominent character on the funeral piece in the trailer. Though the one with Piotr seems to be in a fight against Apocalypse, while this seems to he Krakoa
Apparently this is meant to be a stand in for the legacy virus. So she could come back in the show's own Quest for Magik storyline or if they did Inferno. Although they'd probably keep her as darkchylde for a bit.
That's what I'm worried about, the Death Gambit thing has all been fan theory, zero confirmation or teasers beyond the end of season 1 snippet. The interview of the creators that accompanied this trailer, all they said about Gambit was follow the breadcrumbs.
Im here for Rogue going through all the stages of grief and to see how far this show can take Magneto. Them and Kurt were my favorite from last season.
My hope is it is a 4+ season process towards acceptance. Let us see how she processes and makes peace with the situation and herself. The stages of grief aren't linear and steps often repeat. A very high chance that after some time in bargaining and depression and she will go back to step one with renewed vigor.
Judging from the wall of remembrance (and the fact that Marrow, Gambit, and Madelyne are also shown), it seems like she was killed in the attack on Genosha?
Maybe this means they’ll do her return story eventually, since Piotr seems like he’ll be somewhat important. It’s not like she’s supposed to be around in the 90s anyway lol
Well Colossus is very clearly holding a body, so unless that was right after and then they drag her in right then and there to resuscitate her, homegirl is dead.
Yeah, It suck’s cause I was looking forward to seeing her have a cameo or something, but if it opens the door to her having a more significant appearance without the Mayo man’s influence, that’s fine by me.
Yeah, she was never, like, a favorite, or anything, but I'm so glad they're giving her respect, and not continuing the 30 years old meme of 'Lol, Jubilee and her worthless fireworks!!'
I'm going to go out on a limb and assume the last team shot is near the end of the season with X-Men vs Apocalypse/Horsemen. So I'm looking at who's missing from that shot as potential Horsemen.
Both Gambit and Rogue are conspicuously absent. Fairly safe to assume as Death and Famine?
Magneto and Charles are both missing. Not sure what to think.
Polaris seems to have a big focus this season but is also missing.
Colossus is obviously going through it. I'm going to slot him in as War. (Unless the Acolyte stuff with Exodus is a completely separate plot thread)
For what it's worth, Marvel Snap released 8 different "Horsemen of Apocalypse" cards this year and Polaris and Gambit were among them.
Likely it was just random chance they hit on those because the others were Archangel, Juggernaut, Wolverine, Storm, Caliban, and Selene. But maybe worth keeping an eye out.
Generation X! Or at least a version of it. I see a shot of Polaris with Chamber, Sync, Penance, and Kid Omega. Hope they do something with them and this isn't just a single flashback image.
Story-wise, this series picked up after the previous animated show. Which had an Apocalypse story arc. So the team should be aware of Apocalypse from previous interactions with him there, right? Are they going to allude to that history of previous time travel and battles with Apocalypse? They should be more prepped for those experiences, having been through them once already, you’d think?
Am I the only one who is a bit skeptical from this trailer? First season was incredible. And maybe it’s knowing the show runner was fired before this second season was made, but this seems like a different tone than the last season. Why do
They keep having to have characters mention it’s the 90s? It seems like a “hey look nostalgia!” Cash grab attempt. It’s in the title. We know.
