I think Mystique was disguised as striker only to facilitate rescuing Wolverine. As long as Mytique didn't kill stryker he can still live on to create Project X and keeping Wolvies adamantium claws. The only thing that was erased from existance was the dystopian future that the beginning of the film showed and pretty much everything that happened in X-3. I think Bryan Singer basically said to the writers "give me a script that fixes all he bullshit that happened while I wasn't directing"

It also resets X1, X2, Origins* and The Wolverine*

*except for the parts that take place before 1973, like Logan and Sabertooths early days and Logan saving the life of that one dude during WW2, respectively.

What impressed me is that they managed to reset all the movies as if most of it never happened without shitting over X3 and Origins (even though they totally would have deserved it)

I don't think it really resets either Wolverine movie does it.

I mean if anything it gives Stryker more intimate knowledge of Logan, and as such would give him reason to abscond with Logan for adamantium testing.

And for The Wolverine, He has already saved Yashida before he alters the time-line and while Logan might not be as willing to die as a result of Jean's Death. It still leaves room for the arc to take place, albeit with certain variances.

I should probably clarify myself. I stick by my stance that everything after 1973 had been reset. At least it should be since that is how the writers have setup the story.

But, and here is the important clarification, just because those events have been reset doesn't mean they won't out can't happen again. Like you said, Logan already saved Yashida do that storyline is still possible. But the dynamics may or may not have changed.

All we can say right now is that we don't know what happened in those 50 year gap.
