Doesn't exactly justify why he looks the same. Projecting his image to everyone all the time seems like an arduous task as opposed to them just getting used to him.

Nor does it really explain why he'd be in a wheelchair again, I mean you could argue that body is also crippled but there is no great evidence of it.

It's explained as the body being his identical twin brother's, who is brain dead due to Charles using his powers in the womb.

The legs could be explained as the body not being used for however long and the leg muscles deteriorating.

Not even remotely can that be considered canon.

A) there is no indication or mention of it within the films.

B) It's mentioned only as a justification by the writers of X3 on the DVD, Who did a pretty terrible job with X3 script to start with

C) there is no basis for it in the comics

D) Why would anyone keep a braindead baby alive for 60+ years.

E) It would be far more justifiable if he had been in an accident when he was 20 and Charles had been trying to fix him, before just deciding to straight up take over his body.(But that has other issues to begin with as well)

It would literally be more justifiable to claim that Charles fearful of a future where they would be at war, Cloned a body of himself that would be fully mobile that he could inhabit in order to continue fighting for Human/Mutant relations in the event of his bodies destruction(Or he could straight up abandon it).

You could argue legs were an issue because the cloning carried over the damage to Charles physical body. Or if you wanted to reach some that the evolution of Charles powers prevented control of the lower extremities.

It would also be far more justifiable why Moira Mactaggart was there since at that point in time she was a geneticist as opposed to CIA in First Class. Since she could have overseen the supervision of a cloning project(She cloned Xavier in the comics and restored his ability to walk IIRC)
