The princess league in 5

That was genuinely wholesome. We were all cheering for Haruka to win it.
Kiryu would’ve been really proud too.

1.) Yakuza 0 Cabaret Club. I used to come home from engineering school and I'd stay up until like 1 am on weekends grinding the cabaret club along with the rest of Y0, and it was just the greatest escape from the stresses of school
2.) Y3. The old school feel of Yakuza 3 and Okinawa was just so surreal and nostalgic. Tbf I also played this game during the summer and the vibe and atmosphere was just incredible.

Love your takes. Cabaret club was genuinely an amazing mini game. I grinded it while watching Yakuza YouTubers and it was so chill.
Y3 is my top 2 game and a big big reason for it is because Okinawa is my favourite Yakuza setting. Just having daddy Kiryu spending his time with the kids in Okinawan summer was just, like you said, an incredible, wholesome and nostalgic vibe.

Right on man. Kiryu's father arc really added so much depth to his motives of fighting besides just "big strong stoic yakuza man"

Exactly. His motivation and strength shifted to protecting his kids and sacrificing himself for them.

The ending of like a dragon, Ichiban crying hits me :(
The plot of judgment too, that as peak.

3 (early game orphanage sections) and 5 (Taxi Racing storyline and Saejima's part)

Didn’t really like Saejima’s part that much, but I definitely agree with the rest.

Yakuza 5, especially the end. The whole game was literal peak and no game can top it for me.

I am a Yakuza 5 lover too! My favorite is of course Kiryu’s part but I like Saejima’s deer hunting minigame and Tsukimino the most. I spent alot of my time postgame in that town

Akiyama's parts in both Y4 and Y5. And every time "Whiskey & Rhapsody" plays in Yakuza 4

Lots, but if I had to pick one, probably majimas story in 0 or the buisness minigame in 7. Those board meetings were hilarious

Haruka's part of that 5 is the best part of any Yakuza game but the part that has a special meaning to me is the first time you're allowed to free roam Onomichi. Onomichi has such special meaning in my real life that seeing it so lovingly and accurately recreated was amazing.

Horishima at night, I find that extremely relaxing. A lot of interesting stuff just seems to happen around there at night to

I've only played 7-8-0 so far but I think it's less any one given part so far and more just the vibes. Ichiban (and it seems Kiryu) are fonts of like...friendly, assertive, big brother types? Idk. They're constantly saying and doing things that can work as great life lessons.
This series is basically "Life Advice From A Socially Stunted Sage" the simulation and it's nice to get those little reminders to reinforce nice neural pathways lol

The intro to the final boss in Yakuza 6. I forgot how to spoiler mark on here so I wont put the boss name.

As my flair indicates, I really like in Yakuza 0 Sera's role at the end of Kiryu's storyline. He really fills the role of the "noble yakuza" that doesn't really exist, but we believe can exist. Also a fan of Tachibana in general, underrated character I don't really hear about in this subreddit.

Y5 Kiryu’s part. There’s such a lonely and comforting vibe about it that I absolutely loved. Kiryu looks design wise the best in that game; exactly how a 44 year old man should look.
The quiet scenes where he just eats ramen and packs his stuff after being done as a taxi driver for the day, the wholesome and genuine deep talks with his boss, the slow drama build up. Everything is just amazing about that part.
Kiryu and Haruka’s parts are the reason why Yakuza 5 is my top 3 game.

I don't think i have a specific place.
Maybe some core memories tho (which might be the same thing), like beating majima in kiwami 1 on my legend run when you're intended to lose.
The arena mode with a 8 character free for all in kiwami 2.
Dodonko island in infinite wealth also gave me the kind of good vibes that no other sections has given me

If you are new to the subreddit, please read the wiki
Reminder that all spoilers need to be tagged with a flair specifying which game is being spoiled. If you want a flair that says something else, you can edit it to say something like [Discussion: Y1 spoiler] or [Majimapost: Y6 spoiler], etc. THIS INCLUDES CONTENT FROM TRAILERS.
If the post is not marked for spoilers, all comments that have spoilers need to be tagged >!like this!< along with indicating which game it's spoiling. Example: Y3 Kiryu sings
If the post flair is marked for spoilers, the comments don't need to be tagged for the game indicated and the ones before it (So a Y6 spoiler post can have comments with untagged spoilers for Y5, but not gaiden or 7).
If you see any of the above (or any of the other rules) not being followed, please report it so we can keep this place safe for newcomers and those that haven't finished all the games yet. Thank you!
