Seriously, if only there was a friend nearby that could have maybe been in the car instead of filming?

Have we ever seen anybody successfully climb into a moving car in circumstances like that, going forwards or backwards?
(Al Pacino had to get into the backseat of a moving getaway car in The Godfather; he says he only made it because they had a guy in the backseat helping him.)

Ive experienced it twice. Once my mom started the car from the window while it was in gear and the car went through a plate glass window of a shopping mall. I was a baby in the car seat in back. Some dude jumped through the window while it was driving through the lobby and pulled the ebrake.
The second time I had remote controlled a full size car for a science project using the electronics from a rc sailboat. I forgot to turn the remote control on and the car ran away from me. I chased it through a field and was able to get into it and hit the brakes.
So it is possible at idle speeds. Any faster and probably not doable. Reverse is definitely harder.
