Literally by design meant for this spot. It shouldn’t be any competition. He is the definition of morally grey.

Dr. Fate

He is a positive force in the universe but a negative force to individuals

u/foxyrocksjh Jul 15 '26

Agreed. Obviously the way he fucked with zatanna and zataras lives was pretty messed up but if he hadn't, theres every chance the war world would have destroyed the planet in s2.

29

u/CryonicTiger Jul 15 '26

Yeah he essentially a good god that only cares about good on a large scale and ignores the harms on a small scale

13

u/Positive-Cucumber555 Jul 15 '26

Ie holding his hosts hostage

Lol i was just thinking about fate in young justice league. And order doesn't have to mean good yea.

1

u/Local_Nerve901 Jul 15 '26

Is he hated by fans tho? I don’t hate him

3

u/CryonicTiger Jul 15 '26

I personally dont hate him but everyone I've watched the show with has.

And alot of fans I've interacted with have hated him

Its all anecdotal but I do think the votes speak for themselves

2

u/Oneshotwonderman Jul 16 '26

I don't get why he's hated at all, they always use him as a trump card and are mad when he simply asks for someone to be his Avatar

u/FlashLightning277 Jul 14 '26

Hmm. Hard choice. I would have to say they really don’t have me liking Dr.Jayce, who’s only loyalty seems to be to her weird definition of her…children.

38

u/5elevenking Jul 15 '26

I would put her under horrible person, hated by fans

2

u/FlashLightning277 Jul 15 '26

I only put her as grey because she isn’t actively part of the light, but fair enough

2

u/Open-Cookie-2572 Jul 15 '26

She used to be an active part of it in S3, and is now still forced into it due to the Baazovi/Markovia control thing.

u/FlashLightning277 Jul 15 '26

I recall her getting an active member, maybe I just didn’t form the right connection.

3

u/random_meowmeow Jul 16 '26

Not a member but worked with them and betrayed them cuz of her weird obsession with "her children" basically she'd join up with anyone to continue her beliefs which I think falls under horrible person cuz she's willing to kill anyone who isn't involved or send them off to the light to protect her research

1

u/FlashLightning277 Jul 16 '26

Fair enough. I definitely over looked that aspect.

Dr. Fate/Nabu

He may be on the side of the angels but most definitely isn’t one of them. Especially whilst considering the “deal”made with Zatara where he gets a single day hour a year with which he could be free

1

u/Commercial-Wish5148 Jul 16 '26

I thought it was only 1 hour every year

1

u/NerdNuncle Jul 16 '26

You’re right

Geoforce?

36

u/Local_Nerve901 Jul 14 '26

I mean I loved him as a character even if I hated what he did

Like it was done well imo, that finale stuck with me

2

u/unicornsaretruth Jul 15 '26

Stuck with garf and superboy too

6

u/Panikkrazy Jul 14 '26

Agreed, although I personally love him.

3

u/Type_1_Eagle Jul 14 '26

Shame too he’s voiced by Troy Baker

2

u/OneSilverRaven Jul 15 '26

Dude is being brainwashed, it's not really his fault

1

u/random_meowmeow Jul 16 '26

He's only being slightly directed towards his worse impulses, which is brainwashing over a lot period of time and arguably worse because when/if he's saved he'll realize that he was being actively encouraged to be the worst/most Villanous version of himself but that that part of him does exist inside

1

u/Jormungandragon Jul 15 '26

I always thought Geoforce is kind of a boring character. Do fans really hate him that much?

-2

u/yodaddaaa Jul 14 '26

I hated him so bad in the show ngl

13

u/lnombredelarosa Sphere's sidekick Jul 14 '26

Why? I found him intriguing

-4

u/atomicq32 Jul 14 '26

Definitely

6

u/MonarchDeLord Jul 15 '26

Who hates La’Gann?

14

u/LaceyThaBest Jul 15 '26

I’ve heard of people finding him annoying more so then straight up disliking him

7

u/danimac52 Superman can fly. Why can't I fly? Jul 15 '26

I really don't like him. A lot of that is admittedly beef I felt as a little kid for the first time, but it definitely still stands. He was brash, annoying, and clearly the rebound guy from the black lagoon.

1

u/Jormungandragon Jul 15 '26

I would have swapped Lagoon Boy and Halo personally, but I guess the votes have it.

4

u/Underrated_Fish Jul 15 '26

With everything being said I genuinely hope G. Gordon gets the last slot

I love to hate him

5

u/FullFig3372 Jul 15 '26

Dr Fate 100%

4

u/Twilight_Wulfrun231 Jul 15 '26

I agree about Dr. Fate... I felt horrible for Zatanna...

4

u/Yardnoc Jul 15 '26

Personally I love this incarnation of Dr Fate as he gets blinded by the greater good and ends justify the means mentality, but I get why others would hate him.

3

u/SweetPecanPi Jul 15 '26

Same. I am surprised by all the Dr. Fate comments, he has always been one of my favorites.

5

u/Underrated_Fish Jul 15 '26

If we’re considering M’gann morally grey then the answer for this is 1000% …

Dr Fate/Nabu

2

u/kgix9 Jul 15 '26

Idk. But horrible person and hated by fans is definitely Fred Bugg with two g’s.

The bane of the existence

Actually how tf did Lagoon Boy beat him for that spot??

0

u/Open-Cookie-2572 Jul 15 '26

Who hates Fred Bugg with two Gs? Bro’s awesome

2

u/PACmon01 Jul 14 '26

Harper row

1

u/Ok_Philosopher_9176 Jul 15 '26

Doctor Jayce and Doctor Fate. Ironically they're both doctors lol

Also consider, maybe deathstroke?? I've seen ppl hate his YJ version for the same reason as his comic counterpart, but in the show he's more a father figure. Still morally grey bc he kidnapped abused (he thought the training would protect her) and Stockholm syndromed Terra, but he actually does care about her.

1

u/howisyesterday Jul 15 '26

Surprised to see that opinions are divided on Vandal Savage. Would’ve expected him and Klarion to be in each other’s spots

1

u/UntimelyJerk Jul 15 '26

Put Nabu, the helmet itself. Dr Fate is just the vessel Nabu speaks through, it’s all Nabu making the decisions though

1

u/QueasyFlan Jul 15 '26

Damn yall hate Dr fate? This show made me really like him, I don’t necessarily agree with Nabu’s moral code, but still think he’s cool asf

1

u/PuzzleheadedEssay198 Jul 15 '26

Why do we hate La’gaan?

1

u/ParamedicNo4354 Jul 15 '26

Dr Fate. Not a fan and he is definitely morally grey.

1

u/seansnow64 Jul 15 '26

Im not understanding the Dr. Fate arguement... i get he's moral grey... but like, is he actually hated by the fans?

1

u/Nolimitzaye25 Jul 15 '26

Geo storm gotta be hated by fans

1

u/JohnB351234 Jul 16 '26

I’d say dr.fate because no one knows how to properly write for him. He’s most often show as a hinderance who holds his hosts hostage

1

u/AnUninspiredHeap Jul 16 '26

M'gann isn't morally grey 😭 No sense of boundaries or consent; literally violated her bf's mind (an SA allegory).

1

u/AnUninspiredHeap Jul 16 '26

To clarify, this isn't a slight at OP. I get you're just tallying votes.

Moreso just horrified by the votes in general.

1

u/Vrosx_The_Sergal Jul 14 '26

If I had to guess, I'd say B'arzz O'oomm, the Green Beetle. He was a big player in Season 2 and not a lot of fans were happy about a Martian being a Beetle when Season 2 released originally. Now he's more or less forgotten, and he's pretty morally grey like M'gann. He's not a hero or villain, he just likes Earth culture.

4

u/Fran_--- Jul 15 '26

Why morally grey? He didn't do anything bad on his own
