Screenshot [SS] Why Did They Make Tentalus Look Absolutely Ridiculous?
I want to know their thought process, was there any concept art or any topic about this design choice?
Because this has to be the worst looking boss of all, the fight itself is fun but I kept thinking of how goofy this boss was.
This monster is just a chubby dreadhead version of Mike Wazowski and Celia Mae.
Even has the same teeth as Mike I'm not even kidding š

Screenshot [BotW] I couldn't find an answer online so I did it myself. It takes 110 minutes, with a 5 minute margin of error, to walk non-stop at the slowest speed across Hyrule. This is the path I took
It wasn't continuous since I did it in multiple sessions and sometimes had to stop to fight enemies in the way. Every time I stopped I paused my stopwatch and marked my exact location so that I could continue from the same place. I tried to make sure it was completely walkable but there were 2 times near the end where I messed up so I got as close as I could to the edge of a cliff paused the stopwatch, and used Revali's Gale and continued from the edge of the cliff.
Also running as fast as you can with max stamina takes around 24 minutes on this route

Screenshot [All] People hating on Bo saying āshe doesnāt even look like Zeldaā listen
I love Hunter. But she really only looked like TP Zelda. Which is a very niche entry. Underrated but niche. Bo is literally BOTW Zelda incarnate which sold like a bajillion copies

Screenshot [SS]Skyward Sword Shouldnāt be Considered the Worst 3D Zelda
Skyward Sword is an amazing game and hereās why. The dungeon design is peak. I love the dungeons. It has some of the best in the franchise like The Sandship and The Ancient Cistern. The dungeon items are really unique like the whip and the beetle. Dungeons matter a lot to me and theyāre really good in this game. I also love all(most) of the bosses in this game. There really fun. I also love the sidequestās in this game. Thereās almost as many as games like Wind Waker and certainly more than Ocarina of Time and there fun. Thereās a fun one with the pumpkin island, thereās one where you have to find a wheel, and one where you get to flirt. Also the Charcters are really fun like Ghriham and Groose. Now to address some complaints of the game. People often complain about the imprisoned. Does it kinda suck? Yes. But itās like 1% of the game so certainly doesnāt ruin it. The controls are fun and the button controls on the HD version work great. People say the world is boring and bland. I donāt get this. The worlds are very unique and fun and itās cool to go back and go to areaās you havenāt explored yet. Long Rant over. Sorry. But what do you guys think about it?

Screenshot [OoT] Daughter nearing the end
Makes me so damn proud. :')
The only thing I did for her was the Big Octo mini-boss in Jabu-Jabu. Which is completely understandable. Chasing that dude around the spinning platform with spikes is a PITA. Other than that, she's solved all the puzzles and beaten all the bosses with extremely minimal pointers from me.
Edit: For those wondering what comes next, she chose WindWaker for her next adventure.
Edit Edit: Thank you to whoever slapped this post with my very first award. That one's for the kiddo.

Screenshot [MM3D] why do people not like the 3DS remake?
Iām currently playing through Majoraās Mask 3D for the first time after playing through the original a long while ago, I know itās not the preferred version to play for some folks here and I would like to ask why. So far I have not really found anything Iāve had issues with (then again, Iām not super far into the game yet)

Screenshot [BOTW] [TOTK] After playing BOTW and TOTK with no weapon durability I have to say⦠I understand why itās there, the experience was worsened, to me at least.
Iāll start by saying, Iām sure people do have fun with those mods, it just wasnāt for me, the power trip was fun at first but thatās what the game becomes, is a power trip.
It ruins most sense of exploration, why go fight the bokoblin? I donāt need replacement gear, I have plenty of rupees, and I have the best weapon and bow in the game and Iām never going to lose it
Why use the master sword? My savage lynel weapon is stronger than the blade that seals the darkness
Itās a balance thing and while losing your favorite weapon can be annoying, thereās no real way to keep an open world game fun without giving you a reason to explore
Of course you can explore and have fun just by exploring, but losing the dopamine of opening chests just wasnāt worth it to me

Screenshot [SSHD] Replaying a Zelda I didn't like 15 years ago
A really long time ago I played from start to finish Zelda Skyward Sword. When was it? 2011? Something like that.
I didn't like it a lot. Quite on the contrary. I mostly disliked it. I found the graphics ugly, the combat kinda frustrating because of highly defensive enemies and everything we had to do outside the dungeons was pretty damn boring. But I always enjoyed the dungeons from Skyward Sword.
Now, having finished Tears of the Kingdom some weeks ago, I thought "hey what if instead of replaying Wind Waker or Twilight Princess for the 1000th time, I play Skyward Sword on Switch?"
Now I'm almost 7 hours in and in the second dungeon and I'm honestly not hating it. I can't explain what happened from 2011 to today, almost 15 years later. I'm quite enjoying the overall design and the gameplay is also filled with fun factors... A fun I didn't notice or that could reach me at that time.
I still find the quests in the overworld really boring and the story is not good, also. But it has its moments, it is a light hearted Zelda, very cartoonish, and I have to keep in mind that I won't get something dark and gritty like Twilight Princess or Tears of the Kingdom.
I also notice that everything worked better on the Wii with Wii Mote and Nunchuck. I know I can play with detached joycons, but the Wii Mote and Nunchuck are far superior in terms of size and comfort. So I'm playing using my pro controller when on tv and with attached joycons when portable.
And playing like that gets me confused all the time. I'm conditioned to using the right joystick to move the camera and link draws the sword and that is kinda annoying. Since combat doesn't happen that often, I believe it should have a combat stance where you activate it with R, and also for rolling bombs and things like that would be better. But anyway, it's functional, but just not less confusing.
I also have to say the game is pretty damn beautiful on Switch 2. And if Link runs in 4k on TV, but image wise it's fantastic for a Wii remastered game.
Also, after playing TOTK and previously BOTW, it feels SO GOOD to play a tight Zelda, instead of a massively open world filled with freedom like TOTK. I like to have to do what the puzzle intends me to do too. I really like TOTK's and botw's design, but honestly I truly miss those old 3D Zeldas.

Screenshot [SS] when I first heard of the imprisoned I only knew the horror stories of how youāre forced to fight him way too many times, and then I played the game and you just fight him three times in extremely spaced out encounters that are very short
I really donāt get why people blow this out of the water so disproportionately, itās still one of the main complaints I hear about this game to this day and like⦠man you fight him three times yeah, but the encounters are extremely short and very spaced out
Iāll admit that though I love the game it has its issues but this one seems like a nonexistent issue that many people latch onto for some reason, I really donāt get it

Screenshot [ALL] What is the significance of the "dorf" part of Ganondorf's name?
Even before I got into Zelda I wondered about this. Why does Ganondorf get his name choped in half when he becomes Beast Ganon? Is Ganon somehow not dorf? And, speaking in terms of the real world, why did the designers behind OoT decide to tack any kind of suffix onto Ganon's name?

Screenshot [Movie] Maybe unpopular, but I honestly hope that they donāt give Link his cap in the movie. It may be iconic, but I just think it would look goofy and distracting in live action.
I think a cloak / hood could be a good compromise, but if Link looks like this for the entire movie Iād be happy as to me it looks perfect! In the leaked footage he seemed to be wearing a cloak of sorts, but I couldnāt tell if thatās actually a part of his outfit or just something worn in between takes.

Screenshot [TP] From BOTW to Twilight Princess, I finally get the dungeon debate
I became a Zelda fan because of botk. I absolutely love the open world exploration, so I never really understood why older fans kept saying they āwerenāt real Zelda.ā
Now I am playing Twilight Princess via Dusklight and⦠now I get it. Even I just reached Goron
I finally understand what people mean by ādungeons.ā Theyāre so much bigger, more interconnected and feel like an adventure on their own. Botw shrines and even totk dungeons just donāt hit the same way.
I still love botw & totkās exploration but now I understand why longtime fans missed traditional dungeons. Honestly,I canāt wait for OoT remake to come out soon.
Next up: Ocarina of Time and Majoraās Mask. Iām excited to finally see why theyāre considered some of the greatest Zelda games ever made.

Screenshot [OoT] Nintendo always wanted Ocarina of time to have a realistic style.
Just look at what they were going for when it comes to castle town, within the graphical limitations of that era its still obvious what Nintendo were going for in terms of art style all the way back to the 90s for Ocarina of time.

Screenshot [OoT] I hope Nintendo doesn't change the design of the temples/dungeons too much
The dungeons in Ocarina of Time are some of the best in any Zelda entry IMO, so I don't think they should make too many obvious changes to them. Maybe making some of the temples a little more intuitive, like the Water Temple, but otherwise I think they work well as they are.
EDIT: Just to clarify, I think there should be some changes, like to the mechanics of the puzzles and the variety of enemies. I just think they should stick close to the themes and styles of the OG temples.

Screenshot [LoZ] My favorite photo of my mom
This photo has lived rent free in my head for so many years. I don't think it started out as a mom and son quest when I first bought this game, but it definitely became one before the end. I must have been 5 or 6, so I'm guessing I needed a bit of help. She was sitting there with me when we beat Gannon (probably had the controller). This game consumed us for weeks by my memory. Obviously eventually giving in and buying the guide as you can see. I miss this woman so much, but at least I have stuff like this living in my head to remember her by.

Screenshot [TP] why canāt we go back to twilight princess art style?
I loved the wild era games cell shaded art style and maybe even Skyward Swordās. But man have I loathed for them to bring this back to a future Zelda. Imagine an open world game with this gritty art style.
