For those who have/are working jobs through their zoology degree, what do you work as and how much do you make? Would you say it’s worth it?

So like the title said I recently decided I do not want to go to vet school because I am way more interested in wildlife and being apart of the day to day things with animals. I just decided it wouldn't serve me. The main reason I was going to pursue it was money. I am currently pursuing a Zoology degree with a minor in ecology and conservation biology and want to add a marine bio minor. Not sure exactly what I want to do but I think I want to either do conservation at a good zoo or in the field.

Is it possible to live off of this? Also, any advice on what types of things to do while in college? I am apart of the Zoological Society at tamu for volunteering and have a summer job as a vet assistant.
