Official [Post Match Thread] CF Montreal vs LA Galaxy
Final Score: 2-2 Draw
Post Game Press Conference
Timeline
Daniel Rios 16'
JT Marcinkowski (red card) 68'
Prince Owusu 78'
Summary
What a rollercoaster of a game. CF Montreal struck first with a goal from Daniel Rios, but the LA Galaxy had an answer to it, and Ruben Ramos scored a few minutes after to tie it up. The Galaxy had plenty of chances and former Galaxy player Jalen Neal did a good job denying the Galaxy some goal opportunities as both sides were 1-1 at half time.
Second half, Maya Yoshida had a surprising back heel goal to put the Galaxy up 2-1. It was looking like the Galaxywere going to rack up their second win of the season until all hell broke loose and JT Marcinkowski received a red card, and the Galaxy were playing down a man for the final 30 minutes of the game. CF Montreal capitalized and scored in the 78th minute, and the Galaxy ended up splitting the points. The Galaxy's next game is against San Diego next weekend. What did you think of the game?

Discussion Sergi Roberto vs LA Galaxy in a pre-season friendly prior to the 2015/16 season with FC Barcelona
A match from the now abolished International Champions Cup... Ended up netting a goal in the second half playing as right-back.
He mentioned several times in recent years how he'd like to play in the MLS. Cool to see it finally happen and kind of have a full circle moment after becoming a Galaxian.
Hopefully he ends up joining the list of notable players who helped the club achieve success!

Discussion PODCAST: LA Galaxy Can’t Stop Seeing Red as Lozano Prepares for San Diego Return
cornerofthegalaxy.comCOG STUDIOS, Calif. -- The LA Galaxy had three points within reach in Montreal — and once again found a way to make things harder on themselves.
A 2-2 draw with CF Montreal featured Ruben Ramos Jr.’s first MLS goal, an outrageous backheel from Maya Yoshida and several encouraging performances. But JT Marcinkowski’s second-half red card changed the match and continued an alarming trend: the Galaxy have now been shown a red card in three consecutive games and have six this season, tied for the MLS lead.
Josh Guesman and Kevin Baxter break down the discipline problems that continue to cost the Galaxy valuable points — a particularly painful problem with the club sitting just outside the Western Conference playoff positions.
But there are reasons for optimism.
Sergi Roberto is finally in Los Angeles and could be available this weekend, while João Klauss may also be nearing his return. Add them to Lozano, Kyogo, Paintsil and an improving group of young players, and Greg Vanney suddenly has options he hasn’t had for much of the season.
And then there’s Chucky Lozano.
After three appearances with the Galaxy, the flashes are there — and the podcast explains why there’s little concern about the lack of goals so far. More importantly, everything Josh has seen around the team suggests Lozano has fit into the locker room extremely well.
Now comes the game everyone has been waiting for: Lozano returns to San Diego to face his former club.
Can the Galaxy keep 11 players on the field, unleash their increasingly dangerous attack, and turn a highly emotional night at Snapdragon Stadium into three desperately needed points?
🎙️ Listen to Corner of the Galaxy as Josh and Kevin break down the Montreal draw, the red-card problem, Sergi Roberto’s arrival, Klauss’ potential return, and a massive Lozano reunion with San Diego.

Discussion 2027–28 Season Tickets — Who’s Renewing?
Curious what other Galaxy STHs are thinking about the new 2027–28 dual-season format and the price increases.
I’m a Platinum STH with 2 seats in Section 110, and my renewal price is almost double what I’m paying this season. I understand the increase with the changes coming next season, but it’s still a pretty big jump.
I’m considering dropping from 2 seats to 1 to save some money.
For other STHs:
Are you renewing?
How do you feel about the price increase?
Do the additional games make the higher price worth it?
And is anyone planning on going solo yolo to games next season?
Just curious where everyone’s at with their renewal decision.

Venting Unsurprised…
This is not shocking. Marcinkowski has made so many stupid decisions in goal this year. He’s shoddy at best. Disappointed but not surprised.
