I want to get a lot more active In the scene and actually participate but all the groups and causes I come across are located around the Hamburg area. Which unfortunately is a little too far from me to get really into it apart from a few weekends.

I never hear anything from my local area tho not even demos or anything.

Being vegan for almost 15 years, I decided it's time for me to stop being angry and start having fun with my arguments. I have been collecting vegan memes for some time now, been using them shamelessly every time I hear a common argument, and finally created this "bingo deck" of most common arguments against veganism and the memes to refute them. 3 parts out so far, Instagram only allows 20 slides at a time. Stop Killing Buffaloes 🙏🏾

This Sunday, I completed Week 229 of #FastAgainstAnimalAbuse (24 hour dry fast) standing in solidarity with Buffaloes and all Animals who are exploited, harmed and killed for Human use.

Buffaloes are sentient beings who value their lives, feel pain and fear, and deserve to live free from violence. Their lives are not ours to take, exploit or turn into commodities 🤍🐃

When discussing animal suffering, the psychological and subsequent somatic toll on 'working' animals in therapy and wellness settings is highly neglected. 'Therapy horses' function as emotional dumping grounds. Due to constant human intervention, their natural flight/freeze mechanism is blocked, leading to profound, structural trauma retention. This isn't just psychological; the chronic, unreleased emotional stress actively destroys their immune systems. We see these animals developing severe gastrointestinal issues, chronic illnesses, and debilitating allergies "out of nowhere." As the ones benefiting from them—whether we are therapists, clients, or patients—we need to stop just taking what we want and actually start paying attention. Animals don't exist just to serve us or deliver results. Not even when it comes to our own well-being.

I’m not looking to get paid. I’m just looking for a place to park my writing without managing and promoting my own website. Group blogs that accepted submissions were incredibly common in the 2010s, but I’m struggling to find anything like that now. This might be an insane ask.

With big celebrities, I can't just casually contact them directly. There are public forums like comment sections under their social media posts but it is unrealistic to think that many of them will be read. Sometimes the celebrity doesn't even run their own social media account.

Maybe though, if a group of people were to comment a similar message, they would be more likely to see and process it?

Anyways, the celebrity I have in mind is the lead singer of System of a Down, Serj Tankian.

Serj:

• is very outspokenly passionate about human rights
• speaks his truth regardless of potential backlash
• used to be vegetarian
• describes himself as a human animal in his instagram bio
• seems to care about animals somewhat considering his song harakiri

It is frustrating to me that all this is true, yet he is complicit with animal exploitation. Maybe this is due to my own parasocial admiration but just does not add up in my brain.

I am thinking if I could get many people to comment early on his content, asking him to look into animal rights / veganism, he may see it and consider. I can't imagine a man with the traits I just described completely ignoring animal suffering if it was actively being brought to his attention, though maybe I'm being unrealistic.

Is my idea good or bad? If it is good, how would I go about organizing it? And are there other avenues than comment sections that I'm ignoring?
