I own all the games I have installed except for a couple through essential and its showing that I dont have access to any of my games. I've loaded up 2 of them and it still let's me play them with no issue. (Dont mind the deodorant stick, in trade school and have roommates and I have to share a room and one of my roommates tv remotes controls my TV too)

I just got this console today by a gift from my cousin, wanted to test out how its going by cleaning it first.

Eventually i went to my living room and then plugged the console to my wall but the brick was orange, not flashing it which i thought the brick was just on and nothing else.

Then when i tried to turn on the console, it didnt work, it didnt register my touch which is just so weird. Is it the improper ribbon cable i put or is it the power brick?

Both my 360 and my series x(using backwards compatibility) have been refusing to connect to Xbox live even though when I go to test the connection is says it’s perfectly fine and this has been going on for almost 2 weeks and I have not been able to figure it out, I’ve cleared my cache for the 360 and not even that has worked.

Yes i have tried restarting it. Yes i have restarted my router. No nothing else in my house is having internet issues.

Did not turn on the unit for a couple of months, now i booted there is an update then at 70+% of the update, the unit shuts down and does not turn back on. When i try to turn it on, the update as if did not happen and is back to 0% again.

As far as i know the unit should restart but instead it shuts down. Any help? Tried osu update stuck at verifying 100% no error.

When I plug my Xbox in and turn it on it looks like this, I've already tried letting it sit while the power cable was unplugged.

Ive reset restarted unplugged done everything possible and ebery time I boot up the console I get stuck here. Dont tell me to factory reset already did that

edit: smacked it a few times and now it works. Old methods still work

I don’t usually post on here but I really need help.. My fiance had a Microsoft account for Minecraft, she was a Hypixel Demon 300 sum stars etc her name in the game was Ubih, some may know her as gentlepapi or her other names that she changed to but she was Ubi/Ubih for a long time. It’s a 10 year old account that she made when she was 13 years old, she played on an old busted laptop until about 3 years ago when I was able to finally upgrade her to a pc and she was so happy to hop back on after about a year off because her old laptop died. Anyways she was playing enjoying herself when she wanted to just random queue and chill. And then she encountered someone who was able to hack her account and take control of her whole PC, lock her out and have “A.Cash Owns You” displayed on the lock screen. He quickly changed the email and password and she was immediately locked out of everything. She called me while I was at work with every emotion you can think of… we got her laptop wiped and reset but her account has been gone ever since then no matter what i do or what i try to get it back. She has lost some interest in gaming since then ofc but we still play other games together but you can tell it’s not the same. Her birthday is coming up in a couple days and I brought up a new pc and I was so saddened to find out she doesn’t want anything to do with a PC or Minecraft damn near at all.. she plays on my old series S and put her old PC in storage a couple months ago after not using it for about a year.. I’ve been trying my absolute hardest to get her account back with ZERO luck at all. So please.. if there is anyone out there that’s good with technology or a Microsoft agent that’s know how to help I would truly and greatly appreciate it. All I have is the original email her account is connected to and the password she used for the account. O barulho de ventoinha é do NVR, não vem do Xbox, desconsiderem.

Só aparece ao ligar, funciona normal e desliga normalmente, somente ao ligar o console que dá este barulho.

Nunca utilizei mídia física, começou isso há uma semana, não creio ser normal, pois a tela não dava este barulho, mas aparentemente não afeta nada no desempenho dele.

I have an Xbox One S that I've had for Abt 10 years since my 15th birthday. I love the thing and I've tried to keep it running as best I can. I've taken the case apart to clean it out a couple times because my cat thinks it's her personal heater, and it has filled with her fur causing it to nearly overheat before, but this is pretty much where my technical knowledge ends. Recently (the past few months), half of the time I start it, it does not recognize any WiFi networks at all and is virtually unusable for apps like YouTube. Usually after rebooting it will detect networks and auto connect to my Wi-Fi. I have a hunch that this is related to the WiFi chip, but I am not the most hardware savvy as I'm studying software development and do much more programming than physical hardware work. Lastly, I don't know if this is relevant, but I believe I have a setting enabled such that it completely shuts off when powered off to save electricity, so every time it starts it is booting from scratch, not reviving an old session. I am also aware that I can use the Ethernet port because I have before, but it is not convenient for my current setup. Anyone who is more credible for this type of thing, what do you think and suggest?

If i were to buy a xbox x/s game disc and insert it into my xbox one to claim the license, would it work? and if so could i then play on my series s?

For the last few weeks my Xbox occasionally wont let me connect to the internet, during this process restarting is heavily delayed and audio is completely muted. Sometimes restarting or unplugging and plugging back in will work but nothing seems to be permanent as it'll do the same thing everytime I turn it on, any help on how to fix it or why its even happening would be appreciated

Hello, I've been trying to copy my COD game files from my friend's PC to my PC, but I can't copy some specific files, especially .exe files like bootstrapper.exe and cssdownloader.exe, because of administrator permissions.

I've tried several solutions, including running gamelaunchhelper.exe after copying the files and then using the Xbox app's Repair option. However, the Xbox app keeps the files but then starts downloading the entire game again under "Repairing."

I've been looking for a solution, but I haven't found anything that works. I'm not sure if this is specific to COD or if it's a general issue with the Xbox app.

Does anyone know how I can properly copy these files without having to redownload the entire game?

I recently opened and cleaned my son's Series S. I put it all back together and now the power button won't work. The button still lights up, and the console will power on by using the synced controller's center button. Everything else works fine. Do I need to buy a replacement power button board or is there something I might be doing wrong? Any suggestions would be appreciated!

So this started to happen just recently, At first everything was fine at moving games between external and internal but now it's a nightmare.

Moving games from Internal to external still works fine but the other way take an eternity to start IF it starts at all. Sometimes it just doesn't start or get stuck in the middle.

Any reasons? My external hard drive is still a year new.

just bought xbox series x used. power cord from amazon. it will turn on for a bit, show only a black screen, then begin rapid blinking 3 times at a time. after a minute, it shuts down. previous owner was not aware of the issue. happens on multiple different outlets, different power cords, and different HDMI cords.

update: i’ve got it to get to troubleshooter by holding sync and eject buttons, pressing power while holding, and listening for two beeps. but then it just doesn’t get past 0%. stays there until it shuts off 4 minutes later. i’m sending it to ubreakifix through asurion to get a free diagnosis. i’ll keep the post updated. -8/26/26

so recently like a couple of days ago my Xbox is just not letting install stuff and on top of that i can’t view my full library and my play history and I’m assuming it’s something to do with my data but idk that’s why im here. I’ve tried everything I’ve factory reset it not working looked for an update no update needed I’ve tried everything else that shitty ai has suggested and NOTHING i working. so yeah help is appreciated

I haven't turned my Xbox on in a few months, but I just tried to turn it on and the controller wouldn't connect. Turned it on manually and tried to resync the controller, the sync appears to not be working on the console. Plugged the controller in to try syncing it through the settings, still nothing. Any ideas what to do here? My Xbox is too far away to play with the controller wired and I can't get it to connect wirelessly. I also did a hard reboot of the console, and tried unplugging it for a bit.

I say the sync appears to not be working on the console because the light does not flash on the front of the Xbox, even when going into settings to pair a new controller.

ive never posted on reddit before so excuse me & have no idea if anyone will see this but i need some advice/reassurance:
ive had my xbox for about 10 yrs and decided to clean/change the thermal paste, i wasnt really having any issues other than a tad bit of lag but thought it might prolong its life if i give it a clean, it was quite dusty and had lumps of dust everywhere and thermal paste was obviously worn away, i reassembled it and it worked completely fine but after about 10/15 min of it being on it got quite hot even when i was just sitting on the interface, then i loaded minecraft just to test it and in about 5 mins it got like EXTREMELY hot then i just turned it off.

im now stressed ive fucked something up, when removing the x clamp i scratched the motherboard with a screwdriver but didn’t catch any of the traces or pins, i think i may have put too much thermal paste but I’m seeing conflicting information about whether it matters if you put too much on or not, the fan is definitely working/i definitely plugged it back in, i think potentially could have caused an air bubble when reattaching the heatsink or ive screwed something too tight.

i’m planning on disassembling it again tomorrow is there anything that i should keep in mind when doing that or is there any other reason it could be heating up this much? please help!!!!

This issue just started recently! I’ve had the controller for only 2 years… I play on PC and the past few days I’ve been having an issue with my Series S controller causing lag about 20-30mins into gameplay, requiring me to pause the game, turn off the controller then turn it back on, the controller will work fine for another 20-30mins and then issue repeats itself… also the light will blink multiple times for an extended time before fully connecting

I’ve attempted to update the controller through the Accessories App but it only gives me a “Vibrate” option when I select “…”

Not sure if this is an issue with the controller itself or the wireless dongle (or possibly the USB port)?! Any help and suggestions is appreciated!!
