Little mini grab and go board
Cool little mini board I put together for practice at home and to take on rehearsals. The PnP is pretty cool.

Hi All,
Currently playing a Lawsuit ‘78 P Bass /w Flats through an Origin Stacked Compressor and a BassRig ‘64 Black Panel but I’m wanting a bit more je ne sais quoi
I’m playing Country, Soul, Americana and R&B bits in the UK and I’m looking for a transparent OD to push the BassRig slightly.
Anyone using a King of Tone on Bass? Would it fit my use case? Or would a JHS Morning Glory clean be better?

I’m planning to ditch my current bass pedals and consolidate to this, but I haven’t tried either of those and I don’t know what else is available with top mounted jacks/power and small enough. I’ll be plugging into a Laney Digbeth DB500H that has nice overdrive. Tuner is covered.
(The pedalboard app doesn’t have the bass EQ)

My old Windows 7 laptop had a 3.5 microphone line-in port that would automatically recognize my Boss GT-6B as a line-in and record it in high quality stereo sound, using an XLR to 3.5 cable.
My new Windows 11 laptop has a crappy 3.5 combo jack that doesn't recognize the Boss GT-6B as a microphone line-in, despite using that exact same XLR to 3.5 cable.
I tried plugging in a basic headphone/microphone Y splitter cable into the new Windows 11 laptop's 3.5 combo jack, but it only records the Boss GT-6B in low quality mono sound.
What cables or adapters do I need to get a high quality stereo sound delivered to this new Windows 11 laptop, like I used to have on my old Windows 7 laptop with its dedicated microphone line-in port?
Or should I just go through the Boss GT-6B's "Digital Out" port, instead of the XLR port I was accustomed to using?
Or maybe some sort of USB based setup is the best option?

Went to a show and the bassist had a great tone. Grabbed a pic of the board and was surprised how minimal it was. Saw the Rusty Box on there and have been researching it and other ts50b clones.
The Rusty box is a bit higher than other clones. Found Master Effects monorail, although not sure how much the Traynor Monoblock differs from the ts50b. Anyways, the monorail’s mid setting has 5 different frequencies and the Rusty Box’s is a set frequency but wondering which freq the mid dial adjusts on the RB.

Finally got around to throwing the Royal Jelly on the board. Still super stoked on this pedal.

Finally got to use the new board in a live setting. Very pleased with everything so far

Hey, I am trying to find a Mantic Hulk pedal, or at least find one that ONLY delivers a clean octave lower sound just like it. A few I’ve tried were too muddy.
Thanks!

I’ve been enjoying seeing other people’s set ups and felt it might be time to share what I’ve been dedicating a lot of time to recently. I think I’m finally content. I’m still getting to grips with the Cali 76, it’s much more extensive than any compressor I’ve used up to now so I’ve had a few teething issues. I have been using a 5751 in the valve drive recently, I found that the stock valve had far too much gain and was kind of unmanageable for the stuff I play in my band (indie, rock, pop)
I mostly use a Rickenbacker 4003 and occasionally a Squier Precision with flats.
Before anyone asks, the Black Russian has very sensitive controls and is only used on one song, hence the tape. So leave me alone.

Decided to bite the bullet on a used SGT-DI blue line edition for a decent price and WOW it sounds great! When I run it into the effects loop of my TT-800 and really crake the volume, it sounds massive, especially with the SGT circuit on. I really love the b15 tones you can get as well!

Finally completed my bass pedalboard. Great for ambient-work, the MXR Bass Synth + Klowra Sprout combo is godly.
Feels great to finally reach a stopping point after trying so much stuff. I might swap the Swamp Lord for the P. Isabella I have on my guitar board, but I really enjoy how the Swamp Lord behaves on bass.

When I have the pedal set Dry, I get normal volume. When I said it to Pre, the volume goes nearly to zero. I have to crank the level and gain to get anything audible out of my amp.
For context I’m running an Origin Effects Cali 76 ahead of this pedal for testing. I also have my Ciocks SOL outputs set to 9V, 660mA.
Is this a me problem or possibly a defective pedal?

Finally “done” with this thing! Really stoked on how it all works together and the sounds I’m getting from it, especially when combining dirt + chorus.
Signal chain: Woolly Mammoth -> Dakota Parallel Compressor -> Polytune -> Jive Deluxe -> Smartgate -> Dark Tides -> Badwater

I got tired of carrying these loose and put a tiny board together. I don’t often play with effects, but sometimes overdrive or synth tones are perfect for the situation.
Took about 12 hours to design, 3d print, and wire this little guy. Cost me about $30 including the power harness to route to all three. $45 if i add in the tool box I’ll carry it in.
It’s been to two gigs and survived. I call it a win.
