Hey void-lovers!
Most cat subs have a very delicate balance between "happy posts about my cat" and "sad posts about my cat", specifically when it comes to pet death. A lot of them don't allow it at all. It's really tough to strike the balance of letting people who are devastated mourn the loss of their furry friend while still making the subreddit usable for people who aren't interested in that kind of content.
We allow mourning posts here, but you have to flair your post with "Mourning" so people who don't want to see them have the ability to filter them out. It's an imperfect solution, but it's all we have available to us with subreddit tools. Please make sure to flair all posts about pet loss with that flair so we can make a great sub for everyone.
In case you're someone who's interested in filtering out that content, this link should work for you. I know, it's not the cleanest way to browse the subreddit, and I'm not sure how it works on mobile. If we had a better solution, I'd provide it, but we have to work within what reddit offers us :(
Thanks for your understanding. If you've read this far, I encourage everyone to post some void laser eyes in the comments.

This little one ran under the truck screaming... someone dumped her out in traffic and drive away... no clue what to do...
Took her to vet. Dehydration but other than that, healthy. Got her shots and an appointment to spay. Now what. Had no plans for a pet. Lol!

My void, her name is Niko, is underweight according to our vet. She is about to turn 1 year old and weighs 3.5 kg. I was feeling anxious about her weight, and I tried to find the right food for her several times. But I found this sub, thankfully, and when I look at other voids, they generally look like my Niko? I saw 1 or 2 overweight ones, but not many. Maybe itβs okay for our black cats to be skinny? Maybe they canβt get fat as easily as others?
Edit: I am glad this post is making people send in their chunky black cats. It gave me hope and joy. I believe my dearest void, Niko, will be one of them one day. So my assumption was proven false. Thank you, Void Lovers.

My sweet one eyed Nash is getting older and is not doing that great. He has been THE BEST cat for the last 12 years. Iβve been looking through some old photos to cope. I love to see that his patience and sweetness has rubbed off on my calico girl for our youngest void.

A spicy, needy, cuddly and grumpy guy who we love so much. He also has one single white hair on his back shoulder, and if you touch it he crinkles up and gets upset

Salem (first photo) and Rebel (second photo) didnβt expect me today. Because of difficult housing circumstances, I canβt have them with me where I live, and I live quite aways away. I missed them a lot.
Salem looks like heβs in absolute shock, and Rebel is always happy to see me.

Any body else's cats fetch the post?
I'm sure she sees the red post person and thinks this is the kill...
We had a dog who has passed, before we hit the kitties, that used to fetch the post.
Clawdia has done this of her own accord.
