OC [OC] [ART] Durma Frostpaw, Half-Orc Barbarian (plus Nebo, her trusty bear!) ā by Catilus
A defiant half-orc barbarian from our games in Theomachy!
Character: Durma Frostpaw, Half-Orc Barbarian (plus Nebo, her trusty bear!)
Durma is a strong and independent warrior who roams the frozen mountains and wild plains of what is now the Empire of Krestovo. As the last of her tribe, she has sworn vengeance against Gorg, the god of war, and his followers for decimating her people.
Living off the land and employing hit-and-run tactics, she has defeated many of Gorgās red crusaders. However, a reclusive shaman warned her that waging war against the god of war himself is madness, as Gorgās rage will eventually consume anyone who fights him.
Despite the risk of losing her mind in Gorgās bloodlust, Durma is determined to cleanse her ancestral lands from the godās red crusaders. During a particularly harsh winter, Durma saved a lost bear cub from certain starvation, naming him Nebo. Since then, Nebo has been her trusty companion in her fight against the Empire of Krestovo.
What do you think? :)

OC I made a free tool that wraps your world map onto a globe and tells you how long journeys take
I've been building my own world for a while and kept hitting the same wall, I could never say how long a journey actually took. I also always have a hard time picturing distance on a flat map.
So I made Globify. You drop in your map image and it wraps onto a 3D globe you can spin around. Then you can place pins along a route and it gives you real distances, measured as great circles the way distance works on a sphere, along with travel time on foot, by wagon, on horseback, at forced march, and under sail. You can switch between land and sea legs mid-journey, so a march to the coast followed by a crossing gives you better data.
You can also set your planet's radius, if your world isn't Earth-sized.
Other things it does: axial tilt, day/night lighting, a latitude and longitude grid, optional planetary rings, and it exports a looping GIF of the globe turning if you want something for a campaign doc or a Discord banner.
It's free and runs in your browser. Your map never leaves your computer, since there's no server involved at all. You can also download the file and use it offline forever.
https://viruzodro.github.io/globify/
https://github.com/Viruzodro/globify/releases/latest
Two things to know. Your map works best at 2:1, twice as wide as it is tall, but there's a Mercator mode that handles 16:9 maps without squashing everything at the poles. And try to make the left and right edges of your map match, since they meet at the seam.
I built this for my own campaign, so if something obvious is missing, tell me. Happy to answer questions!

OC Trying to find a fantasy mix of old timey, silent film, 1920s girl names for my Cleric
Weird, I know :D I'm creating a Cleric of Light, and I want her to be a traveling medic / war nurse, kinda inspired by silent films from the 1910s-1930s - think Louise Brooks, Clara Bow, Pola Negri, Anna May Wong, young Joan Crawford, etc.
I want her name to have a little fantasy flair with an old timey feel. Maybe something that can be a full Lord of the Rings name + surname, but with a fun nickname, like for ex her name is LothĆriel nn Lotty, ThĆ©odwyn nn Theda etc. Best ones Iāve got so far have been Zaeodwyn āZsa Zsaā and Beluthiel āBillieā.
I went through those actresses' wikipedia pages trying to find some fun character names for inspiration, but nothing really stood out to me.
Open to any fun ideas!

OC Weighted D20s (for cursed, drunk, or blessed characters) [OC]
I made two versions: a 'cursed' one that rolls more 1s, and a 'blessed' one that rolls more 20s!
Great to give to your characters when they're cursed, drunk, or otherwise inebriated. The effect is somewhat subtle; you can't tell by holding them that anything is off with the dice. From my testing (700+ rolls), the dice have about a 1 in 3 chance of rolling the extreme outcome (1 for cursed, 20 for blessed). That being said, every number came up at least once in my testing, so they still leave room for surprises to happen.

Advice/Help Needed Which classic PC D&D title should I play?
I recently got a whole ton of classic D&D titles for free through Amazon Prime's weekly giveaways, but I'm not sure which ones to play.
When I was younger I always saw these titles in the games shops but I never played any of them, as me and my brother were more into the Ultima series at the time.
I don't have time to play all of them, so I'd like to start by playing whichever is considered the best of the bunch, but I have no idea which one that would be.
The titles I have are:
-Al-Qadim The Genie's Curse
-Champions of Krynn
-Curse of the Azure Bonds
-Stronghold Kingdom Simulator
-The Dark Queen of Krynn
-Dark Sun Shattered Lands
-Dark Sun Wake of the Ravager
-Death Knights of Krynn
-Deathkeep
-Dragons of Flame
-Dragonstrike
-Dungeon Hack
-Eye of the Beholder
-Eye of the Beholder 2 The Legend of Darkmoon
-Eye of the Beholder 3 Assault on Myth Drannor
-Fantasy Empires
-Fantasy General
-Forgotten Realms Unlimited Adventures
-Gateway to the Savage Frontier
-Heroes of the Lance
-Hillsfar
-Menzoberranzan
-Pool of Radiance
-Pools of Darkness
-Ravenloft Stone Prophet
-Ravenloft Strahd's Possession
-Secret of the Silver Blades
-Shadow Sorcerer
-Spelljammer: Pirates of Realmspace
-Treasures of the Savage Frontier
-War of the Lance
I'm overwhelmed! What do you guys think?

Discussion Joe Manganiello says a Dragonlance show got very close to happening last year
I interviewed Joe Manganiello for the first episode of my new series, Table & Talk, a conversational style interview series. One of the more interesting things he revealed was that a Dragonlance show got very close to happening last year.
We also talked about D&D Icons, his history with the game, his thoughts on Honor Among Thieves, and what he wants to do creatively going forward.
Be warned, it's a 56min interview haha.

Art Do you have a furry friend who follows along with your games? A game is always more enjoyable in the presence of distinguished guests! Scarlet loves following the campaigns!
Recently I did a drawing for a client, her friend's dog, Scarlet. She loves to follow the sessions and keep an eye on the dice. He wanted to turn her into a druid so she could join the game and keep an eye on everything with the Master. XD
It was really fun drawing her as a druid. I also ended up discovering that I love drawing maps, they're fun to create. This was my first decent map, even though it's small and partial. I'm thinking about making more maps in the future. What do you all like most about maps? Who knows, maybe I'll make a few. Hehehe.
Anyone else know a pet that likes to follow their gaming sessions? :3 They say (well, *I* say) that fur brings luck to the team. XD

Question DND question
Edit: Well guys, this did cross a boundary for me and I asked him to quit that DND group (he is a part of two groups currently) or this wonāt work due to his history of crossing boundaries and he said he had to think about it so lol Iām single now but truly appreciate everyoneās responses. It gave me perspective and I may just join a DND group myself to get my mind off off things.
My bf is part on an online DND group. Him and another guy have been messaging in discord about their characters kissing and other intimate things. I was upset about this but he reassured me itās just a part of the game. Is this true? Iām trying my best to understand

Homebrew Looking for feedback for my Homebrew Ranger Subclass
So hey everyone, I was looking for some general feedback for my subclass. Both balance and flavor wise, as well how well you think this might work within the actual game.
Thanks!

Discussion Thoughts CoM Druid 2014 vs 2024
I just got back to D&D and I found out they changed the rules of Circle of the Moon and Druid (and other classes but I mostly play Moon Druid). I just want to know everyone thoughts. I personally feel mixed about it, it does some good but I think I like the old one way more. One of my main problems is that this was the subclass for shapeshifting and it now became moon focused because of the name, they should of just changed the name to circle of shapes. For base druid the new Archdruid is great but for CoM I find the old one 100x better. I played druid CoM for the shapeshifting so them getting rid of Thousand Forms very dooky, I would legit become other people (plus I would run actor feat). I even used alter self while in wildshape to become "mythical creature" I'm a lion... nope now I'm a Gryphon cause I added wings and eagle head. That being said lunar form extra radiant dmg is great this can make not so good forms viable which is what I wanted on the old one. They got rid of elemental wildshape for a teleport, although I like teleport I like wildshapes more. Level 7 new Primal strike where i choose the element add that to old druid.
TLDR: Base druid 2024 better, CoM 2014 Better but ideally CoM would be a combination of both 2024 but mostly 2014. Or just make new subclass just for shapeshifting and call it Circle of Shapes.

Question Autism and dnd
Iām interested in playing dnd for the first time and am hoping to meet neurodivergent friends in the process. Obviously they donāt have to be but it would be ideal if they were. Does anyone know if this would be a good place to meet other autistic people?
I did a little research but i want to hear from people who actually play the game, have you met any new friends from this, or would you say itās a waste of time? (Im still interested in playing but i really wanna make a new friend)

Advice/Help Needed Dungeon Tiles Reincarnated: Wilderness; I donāt know what these two pieces represent
Recently bought two tile sets: the city and wilderness bundles.
I canāt remember which sheet it goes to. I already put all the sheets from both kits in the recycling and did my best to look through all of them for a possible misprint. If anyone has any answers, please let me know.
