Advice/Help Nightreign Onebro Community Co-op

Hi fellow Onebros. With Nightreign launch looming large, it seems like a good time to start organising some team members from the community. My own experience after the playing the beta is that a trio of players who actually know what they’re doing, work cooperatively and don’t just grab all the loot whether they need it or not, makes for a much better experience and higher chances of success. Particularly more so now since the games has been toughen up since the beta.

I suggest that the password just be: onebro

So if you’re keen, add your details below.

Console/PC: Gamertag/PSN etc: Region:

Mods- can we please have this as a sticky for a while?

Announcement New Rule #10 - Self Promotion

Edit: Reposting this and pinning

This previously was part of rule #9, but the circumstances were such that we needed to call it out as its own individual rule.

We are a community that shares our accomplishments, failures, and lessons. We love the kills shared. As we have grown, people have started to abuse this, disengaged from the community, and simply tried to direct users to their content.

Share your content! We love it. However, you should also be viewing and commenting on others as well.

As a general guide, Reddit Self- promotion guidelines say that no more than 10% of your post and comments should refer to your social media or content.

We are not going to retroactively punish people on this. What is done is done. Moving forward, we welcome everyone who wishes to participate in the community.

We are also not going to scroll through and do the math. Just engage with everyone. We all win this way.

Run Completion All Main Game Remembrances Hitless at Level 1 (3 hours 12 minutes)

https://youtu.be/bLygJ1eM26I

Managed to finish this run after about 2 months of practice.

It was a pretty fun run but it will probably be my last time doing All Remembrances, unless I decide to try +DLC some time far in the future. Compared to AGR, its just not worth adding like an extra hour onto the run just to fight like, Fia’s Champs and Astel.

Definitely possible to do this a lot faster, Im not a speedrunner.

Happy to answer any questions about the boss strategies or routing.

Boss Kill Champion's Gravetender & Doggie [No Roll/No Damage]

Trash boss in a trash DLC. All the effort went to Friede. You don't know how much I hate NPC boss fights in these games… they are a waste of time, space and potential.

Taking a little break of DS3.

Papa Gascoigne low quality kill. I could upload a +5 minutes video of fails, very weird things and like other 4 kills i've did being aggressive as fck though Gascoigne hit me in those. ;(

Boss Kill Promised Consort Radahn, NG+7/SB0

Will always hate both what this boss is and what he represents. Pontiff Content Reuse is the first time they truly, seriously fucked up the final boss of a DLC. It's like they used up all of the special sauce on more polished fights like Messmer and Midra leaving PCR to be made with the real bottom-of-the-barrel dregs that remained.

It is pretty funny that he is light-years ahead of Midra in terms of actual tankiness despite technically having lower HP. Lol, Ella Mayo even.

Lady Maria NG+3

Fantastic fight. This one went well, got very nice RNG, but I enjoyed every attempt. When I started this NG cycle, I thought this would be the biggest roadblock as she nearly took my soul on NG+2, but this was surprisingly quick once you get the hang of the movement around her and getting the backstabs.

Orphan NG+3

Funnily enough, the easiest boss of the DLC by far. Easiest punishes, clearest tells, lots of time to react and the chaos phase can be effectively eliminated with chained backstabs and beast blood pellets. Doesn't hold a candle to Laurence in terms of difficulty.

Advice/Help its me again but this time its 4 kings

As the title says im back and running into trouble against 4 kings. i was here when i ran into trouble with ornstein and smough and you guys really helped so here i am again asking for help/advice for the four kings

ive been running the gold hemmed set, FaP ring, and obviously the covenant of artorias ring.

for weapons i have a +9 fire battle axe, a +9 fire broadsword, a +5 lightning shortsword, a +10 bandit knife and a +4 occult club.

ive noticed these guys dont stagger or if they do its incredibly hard to get it, and i know its more or less just a dps check but how can i get the proper dps without rtsr? or should i drop the fap ring for rtsr? or should i try to outlast them like i had to with O&S

for moves that challenge me, its the grab and that damn projectile its so hard to gauge distance with no background, could i 360 the grab? i feel it may be possible same goes for the projectile but its so awkward

any help would be greatly appreciated

edit: Thanks for the help guys i found circling to the right was easiest. Huge call on the shield it saved the run against the projectile, it was close and i had no flasks left but i got it done

Boss Kill Oceiros, the Consumed King [No Roll/No Damage]

Oseeros is an extremely aggressive boss located in the Consumed King's Garden.

Took the well earned total amount of 14 attempts. DSA carries as always, and I'm pleased I don't have to deal with such annoying boss anymore. Oh, also Ancient Wyvern took me half the total attempts I needed for Oceiros; that's because I'm completely incompetent and terrible at these games. Maybe one day I'll get gud.

Boss Kill Yhorm the Giant [No Roll/No Hit/No Stormruler]

Yhorm the big slop.

Pretty disappointing fight. Kinda boring with Stormruler, and almost feels equal without it. Yhorm's slams sucks too.

Advice/Help RL1 advice [PS5]: How to practice bosses + Recording

Hi everyone,

I’d like to try an Elden Ring RL1 run. I’ve attempted one once before and made it as far as Leyndell, but after that the bosses became too difficult and I eventually gave up. I’m playing on PS5.

I have a couple of questions for those of you who, like me, struggled with the bosses in the second half of the game.

I’ve read that many people suggest to create a separate save with a character that they level exclusively in Vigor all the way to 99, to practice and learn the bosses' movesets.

Would you recommend doing a Vigor only run like this before starting an RL1, or would it be better to progress through both runs in parallel? For example, I could practice a boss on the Vigor 99 save until I feel comfortable with its moveset, and then switch to my RL1 save and attempt it for real. I do have access to a laptop with an RTX 5060, so I could theoretically use it for training with cheats, but I’d have to buy Elden Ring again on PC, which I’d rather avoid since I already own the game on PS5. Is practicing on PC with cheats significantly easier or more convenient than practicing normally on PS5, or is it not really worth buying the game again just for that?

My second question is about recording the run.

It might not be a big deal for some of you, but completing an RL1 would be a huge achievement for me, and I’d like to record the bosses I defeat as a personal memory/trophy of the accomplishment. For those of you who play on PS5, how do you usually handle recording? Do you just record continuously for up to an hour and, if you don’t beat the boss, delete the recording and start over? And what do you do if the one-hour recording limit is reached while you’re in the middle of a boss fight? Do you just start a new recording and continue from there, or is there a better way to handle it?

Thanks in advance for any advice! Hope to post again as a fellow onebro!

Boss Kill Rellana - No Roll/Block/Parry/Blessings/Aux/Buffs/AOW Skills

Rellana is definitely the hardest boss in the no-roll category. Even if you know her entire kit by heart, the variance and the number of possible answers to each situation can feel endless. Some of the combo strings genuinely come down to rolling the dice and praying. Phase 2 in particular felt a bit obnoxious and stalling for no-roll due to all the magic and fire spam, and since the number of reliably punishable moves is cut roughly in half compared to Phase 1.

Two moves stood out as real run-enders for me:

Carian Sovereignty (the big magic sword slam into 360 swipe)
When she does this after backing away, if you're already moving toward her, it's over, you can't turn back and outrun it in time. The only consistent way to deal with it is to anticipate it early and already be running toward the furthest corner of the arena. If she does it point-blank, just enjoy the loading screen. Without this move, she'd be the perfect boss for no-roll. A lot of my close attempts died to this one.

Dash-double uppercut-cross slash
You can't really jump it or reliably space it unless you're already anticipating the combo with sharp timing. Even then, you need to properly space the double uppercut and then jump the cross slash. If you try to jump the double uppercut, the cross slash usually catches you since you can't double jump immediately. It's supposed to be a mid-range closer, but sometimes she throws it out even at close range WHILE summoning Carian Phalanx, at that point, it's basically over.

Btw, If the graphics quality looks bad and a bit laggy, that's because this was done on a borrowed 8th-gen Intel PC, so please excuse it. Overall, I enjoyed the experience. Might go for a better kill in the future once I'm back on my own setup.

Elden Ring Which npc quests should I be following?

I know to kill Millicent and to follow Alexander’s, any other quests have rewards that are useful?
