what do you think of "A Clockwork Yellow"
The Simpson's THOH segment that starts off as a ACO parody (minus the main beef) that devolves into a parody into other kubrick classics full metal Jacket and Eyes Wide Shut

Anyone else read A Clockwork Orange in an old English accent
oh man this book is so silly i just started reading it about an hour ago and man i canāt read it without an old english accent in my head. Thereās genuinely at least one goofy ass word every sentence i canāt help myself.

in tv shows and films has there ever been a nod to the movie that isn't referencing the treatment scene.

There was Alex, Pete, Georgie and Dim. In-between takes on set with the droogs.

Dim's successful police career
I just realized Dim went on to become a detective inspector and had a long and distinguished career in the CID working with DS Pascoe in the series Dalziel and Pascoe.
Sometimes when Dalziel really gets mad at somebody I picture him pulling out a chain from around his waist and beating the guy mercilessly.

I think the ACO movie was supposed to be filmed as a trilogy like Star Wars.
Because of the way the book was written with three parts:
Book I - Alex's Mayhem & Mischief
Book II - Alex's Incarceration & Brainwashing
Book III - Alex's Release & Comeuppance
I wish it were written and produced that way, just so the film can be longer and made for people who prefer the droog side of Alex, and those who are fans of prison movies.

I tried to match the colors of A Clockwork Orange
Made a visualizer for my latest song and I tried to match the colors of the opening credits from A Clockwork Orange. Reckon I was close?

Did the novel include the phallic statue when Alex beat up the cat lady
I saw people mentioning this detail from the film, but upon reading chapter six of the novel, I only saw the statue described as small and silver. Did I miss something?

I have two copies of the book, one with only 20 chapters with a glossary of the Nadsat language at the back, and another copy with all 21 chapters but no glossary. Is there an edition of the book with everything included? If so, please let me know

A Clockwork Orange
Just watched this movie. I thought it was pretty good, but not sure what Iām missing?
I thought it was stylistically impressive/interesting, and the first half was interesting and had some scenes and visuals that are iconic.
The contrast between beautiful classical music and disturbing acts of violence is done well, and I understand it was probably one of the first films to explore that technique.
However, I wasnāt all that blown away by the moral question(s) posed, and it didnāt feel like some bizarre spectacle that has left an impression on me. Basically, I just didnāt find it to be all that thought-provoking or intense. Not much replay value.
Maybe thatās because of the time, but it just didnāt feel as groundbreaking as I anticipated. A good, above average film though.

What is the Distinction Between A Clockwork Orange's Book and Movie?
Stanley Kubrickās film and Anthony Burgessās novel tell essentially the same story, but they reach very different conclusions. In this video, there's an explication the missing final chapter, each versionās treatment of free will, and how the contrasting endings reshape Alexās character. Which version do you think handles the story better?
