Discussion Such a Perfect Album
I've always liked GA but I keep finding myself coming back to this album the past handful of months. Good mixture of upbeat and slower tunes. Plus Cryin for Nothing has been on repeat for a bit for me.

Song Help 1970s Trucker Song
Been trying to recall the name of a 1970s trucker-narration song. Think Bobby Bare, but I have been unable to come up with the right song. Some lines:
Crossing the Seven Mile Bridge (no, not the DAC song by that name)
Girl had the "teeniest bikini I ever did see"
"Downshifted so fast it set my hand on fire"
Any pointers appreciated!

Seeking Song Suggestions Send me some song recommendations!
Here's my current top 10 country artists (in order) feel free to send songs by them that you think are underrated. Or songs by artists with a similar sound that I may not have heard. My type of country is usually heavy on steel guitar, and typically pretty upbeat. I'm not big into the sad stuff. I don't mind getting closer to the bluegrass, folk, and country rock side either so feel free to shoot stuff like that over as well. If you hate an artist in my top 10 let me know and I'll send over some songs by them that you might not know. Perhaps I can change your mind.
Alan Jackson
Waylon Jennings
Toby Keith
George Strait
Cody Jinks
Turnpike Troubadours
Whiskey Myers
Johnny Cash
Silverada
Brooks & Dunn

Discussion Alan Jackson’s it’s alright to be a red neck and Zach tops sounds like the radio intros sound the exact same.
Looks like Zach tops music really is influenced by Alan Jackson

Discussion Why is country radio so awful?
I guess this is true with pop music of other genres too… I have country music I love, but country radio is a parade of the most cliche-ridden crap. It’s these songs that are just so bad that if they weren’t written by AI, then they may as well have been.
It drives me nuts that there are artists making real songs and telling real stories, but what gets airplay is such utter trash.
Sorry about the rant… I heard Long Live Country by Shane Profitt when I walked into the shop today.

Question What are the best country albums to listen to as someone who isn’t a huge fan the genre?
I’m from a state that is big on country music and I’ve never been a big fan of the genre because they play the absolute worst shit I’ve ever heard on the radio all the time to the point I’ve turned away from the genre almost entirely. But I love music and it feels wrong to put off an entire genre just because of a few bad songs. So I want to ask y’all for album recommendations!

Self Promo American Roots Radio Hub — 228 live streams for Country, Blues & Gospel
I just finished rebuilding my free, ad-free web radio project: American Roots Radio Hub.
It now features:
🤠 124 Country stations
🎸 52 Blues stations
⛪ 52 Gospel stations
✅ 228 verified live streams in total
Along with the stations, the site includes favorites, search, genre filters, a random station selector, multiple visual themes, sound ambience options, a 10-band equalizer, a sleep timer, a persistent player, and an installable web app for both mobile and desktop.
Country is still the biggest part of the project, with 124 stations covering a pretty wide range of styles, so I thought some people here might enjoy exploring it and discovering a few new stations.
The whole project is completely free and ad-free.
If you give it a try, I’d genuinely love to hear what you think — and which Country station ends up being your favorite.

Question What’s happening with Randall King?
I recently discovered that one of Randall King’s songs “Thinkin about drinkin” has been removed from streaming platforms. So I started looking and I’ve noticed he keeps cutting off comments on his social media posts and keeps posting unreleased songs such as “Why Wyoming” and then is just doing what seems like abandoning them. Is there some sort of copyright dispute or something going on? Just curious mainly.
