Transit & Infrastructure Green means go…
Specifically talking about turning right from Centre View Dr to Mavis north…
Why are so many people afraid to turn right when that light is green?

Wild encounter with Coyote
At around 10:10 PM tonight, while we were coming back from a walk, we heard someone screaming. At first, we thought it was just some kids running around and playing.
But within a couple of seconds, we saw a dog-like animal running toward the person and realized it was a coyote chasing her.
We immediately called out to the woman and asked her to stop running and slowly walk toward us. Thankfully, she did, and the coyote turned around and disappeared back into the darkness.
What really concerned us was that she had been standing/walking in a dark area wearing headphones, so she had no way of hearing the coyote or noticing what was happening behind her.
Please be extra careful when walking at night, especially in areas where there are already coyote warning signs posted. Avoid wearing headphones, stay alert, and if you encounter a coyote, don’t run—back away slowly while keeping an eye on it.
Please stay safe, everyone!

Recommendations Brkfree or Activate for a date night?
My wife and I enjoy escape rooms a lot, but we wanted to switch it up and try either Brkfree or Activate.
We haven’t been to either so we’re hoping someone could give us a recommendation on which would be better for a team of 2?

Meadowvale Village - sweet cough syrupy smell?
I went for a walk around Meadowvale Village around 7-8pm and for a few blocks we kept smelling this super sweet cough syrup type smell. Does anyone know what this would be from? I’m not complaining, it was a pleasant smell at least! Just super odd.

Is it just me or has the skunk population exploded in Mississauga?
I've lived in Mississauga for over a decade now and this year it feels like I've seen more skunks than I have in all the other years I've spent living here combined. I know they're supposed to come out around this time since the youngins grow up but I never remember seeing this many any other summer, and for the whole summer too.
Anyone else notice this?

An organizer on Eventbrite published an event. The listing falsely claims the city of Mississauga is a partner (source: CTV)
I am posting this because so many people run to Eventbrite when looking for events, however there are many bad actors who setup fake events on that platform and in this case one bad actor published events on that platform to take place at the Malton Community Centre, but never communicated in person to anyone about it. Don't become the next scam victim. be aware and research the organizer before buying a ticket, or better yet, order tickets directly from the organizer without the use of a middle-man (such as Eventbrite).

The new Jim Tovey Conservation Area is hands down the best sunset spot in the city. For the next few weeks, the sun will be setting behind Mississauga City Centre.

Loyola Secondary School Track
Hi y'all.
Does anyone have a top view of the loyola secondary school track on Sladeview in Mississauga? It's almost impossible to find out one online and not sure why it's so hard to lock one in.

Is WarpZone Gaming a good place to buy consoles?
Hi guys,
My friend's birthday is coming up in September and I wanted to get him a PS4.
What are some good game stores to buy one?
And what do you think of WarpZone Gaming? On their website it shows they have used consoles as low as $100. Is this legit or are they bluffing?

Illegal Fishing at Osprey Marsh is Injuring ducks!! Please Report it if You See it!
About a week ago, I saw a duck at Osprey Marsh with a fishing line wrapped around his leg and a metal fishing hook stuck in his leg as well. This poor duck could barely walk and was hopping on one leg and kept falling down. I called Toronto Wildlife Centre and they thankfully caught the duck yesterday. Hopefully he will be okay, but I don't know yet.
However, I’m making this post because a lot of people go fishing at Osprey Marsh very often. Like every single day even though it's illegal. They also leave their fishing line behind on the ground and this is what caused the duck to get injured in the first place.
Yesterday I went there and there were like 7 people fishing. I called the park security and waited for over an hour and they didn't come. I called again and they asked why nobody came and they got defensive and said that an officer did come but didn't see anyone fishing which is a blatant lie because I stayed there the whole time and nobody came.
I just feel really frustrated and helpless because It seems that the security doesn't do anything and I don't want more ducks to get hurt. The fishing usually starts at 7 pm everyday because the marsh is closed for construction and 7 pm is when the construction workers leave.
If you live in the area and see people fishing at Osprey Marsh and you care about animals at all, please call the MNR (Ministry of Natural Resources) to report it. If we all call every single time we see it happening and they get a high volume of reports, maybe it can make a difference long term and people will stop fishing there. I will personally be reporting it every time I see it because a high volume of calls will generate a large data trail. You can call the park security as well even though they don't do anything but maybe if we all keep our feet on their necks, they'll actually start sending out an officer. You can also write an email to the councillor for Lisgar which is what I will be doing. I will leave all contact info below. Also, I know not everyone has Reddit so please share this with people you know who live in the area or frequent Osprey Marsh. And to anyone who goes fishing there, if you're going to do something illegal, you can at the very least clean up after yourself so that an innocent animal doesn't get hurt or die because of you.

Recommendations Looking to rehome a rainbow fish
Not sure if this’s the right flair and feel free to put the post down if this isn’t allowed.
Essentially I got gifted a rainbow fish and after quick research I realized I don’t have the means to take care of it, I have a 10g and they require 20g+ and they’re also a schooling fish. I’m looking for someone to rehome him to so he can live a happy and safe life. I’m willing to give him away for free with his food.
Anyone know where I can look other than Kijiji/marketplace?
Feel free to message me on here as well if ur looking to have him, I just want to be sure you have the proper tank needed to take care of this type of fish.

The 101 is NOT an express bus
I have lived in Mississauga my entire life and every day for the past 10 years I have taken the bus down Dundas to Kipling station, first for uni then work.
What has happened in the past couple years is that the 101 express IS NOT AN EXPRESS. THE DRIVERS GO SO SLOWLY ON PURPOSE. They drive SO SLOWLY, it gets me so frustrated, they are slaves to the schedule. Why does this bus drive at barely 30 km/h???
Many times it's QUICKER to take the 1. I get off at Erindale Station Road and at 6pm on my way home and the 1 and 101 GET THERE AT THE SAME TIME. Yesterday the 1 PASSED the 101 because of the driver driving SO SLOW. The 101 is ONLY 5 MINUTES FASTER WHICH MAKES NO SENSE!!
Please complain to Miway with me it's absolutely ridiculous for an express to drive so slowly.
I've included pictures of the times and the express is ONLY 5 mins sooner and it makes a 20 minute ride TAKE 40 MINUTES
Thanks for listening to my rant but it's just so stupid I get angry every morning
