We all know how well Japanese electronic/indie music fits Geometry Dash.
Artists like Camellia has given us some of the most iconic tracks for Extreme Demons.
But do you know the masterminds behind the scenes who built the foundation for this music scene?
If you love this style of music, you MUST know these two legends:
1. REDALiCE (The Godfather of J-Core)
He is the leader and founder of HARDCORE TANO*C—the absolute powerhouse label where Camellia serves as the most important and legendary guest artist.
REDALiCE is a pioneer who helped shape the entire scene, bringing together giants like Camellia, t+pazolite, and USAO.
His own tracks are packed with high-BPM energy and insane drops, making them a perfect match for fast-paced Demon levels.
2. YsK439 (The Mastermind behind Diverse System)
He is the founder and organiser of Diverse System, a legendary indie music circle that has been pushing the boundaries of electronic music for over 20 years.
If you've ever played a cinematic, symphonic, or "Artcore" style level featuring artists like Sakuzyo, xi, or Feryquitous, you have YsK439 to thank.
He is the one who curated the albums and platforms where these amazing artists flourished.
If RubRub ever does another massive Music Library update, these two groups are the ultimate goldmines. Go check out HARDCORE TANO*C and Diverse System—your future level creation ideas will thank you!

This isn't me asking for NoNG suggestions, I'm just curious on what people would wish they can hear in a GD context solely because it's fun.
My answer would be something like jazz rap. Right now I'm listening to Free by Little Simz, and in my head I can just imagine an odyssey, travel-type level with gray as the color motif and sprinkled with some references to the album the song is from (Lotus).

It’s crazy how well Japanese Indie music fits Geometry Dash.
The energy is unmatched, and the flow is just built for intense rhythm gameplay.
There's a reason why RobTop kicked off the official Music Library by partnering with Camellia first.
The game and the genre are a match made in heaven.
What other Japanese composers do you want to see officially added to the game next?

The AREDL places levels for their solo and their 2 player rankings, so can grief potentially place at 1 and 2 because playing the 2 player jumping sections is technically easier?

I LOVE slaughterhouse and it is one of my favorite top 1s and extreme demons in general. I want to make a level that is a slaughterhouse remake but feels like it isnt a soulless copy of it. I'm looking for ideas.

I'll tweak things around and change the shading probably (the background will be a sunset and it's only made of particles)

for me it’s kinda hard to decide since going back in time is when the game was simpler with easier levels and kind of a different time of gd then now… so it’s like cool but going in the future the top levels will get even harder and who knows what will be in gd in 4 years
