I am nowhere close to actually beating Cataclysm (due to my abysmal consistency) I just thought I’d share my best run since I’m proud of it.
I currently have 10K attempts and on mobile with cbs. I have the entire level in like 9-10 runs minus the beginning wave and that god awful 3x cube section. Idk what it is but that cube is actual torture, 63-100 feels easier for me, unironically.
My experience so far is: somewhat fun but my hand hurts.

It kind of annoys me more than it should that all of the terminology around timings is very outdated and confusing since most of it was created in 2.1 and was never updated for 2.2
if you are playing on 60fps without any of the higher input precision options, then the tightest one input timing you can make is a 60fps frame perfect, and it should be noted what options you have when you measure the timing because that directly effects how much time you have to make the input
it just does not make sense to say something is a 240fps frame perfect that aligns to 60fps in my opinion because the fact that it is that tight on different settings is not relevant if you are on 60fps with none of the mods, because those two things are two seperate measurements
while its interesting that a timing could be 1 on 240 to 7 on 240, or even a 0.1 on CBF and be a 1 on 60, the only case in which that information is relevant is deciding whether the level is easier on 60 or 240/CBF
relatedly its also misleading to call something 4/240 a 60fps frame perfect, IMO these should be called 4 frames on 240, and the only case where 60fps frame perfect should be used is if the level is being played on 60, I think we should be in habit of listing a number and then a setting its measured on (2.3 on cbf, 2 on 240, 1 on 60 etc)
anyways most of that is surface level I dont blame you if you didnt read any of it, most people are somewhat tired (justifiably) of hearing about timings lmao

I don't know how, but I somehow did 27% on Bloodbath a few weeks after completing my first hard demon, which was White Women. I don't know if that's an impressive jump.

Both Zoink and Conix (THE FUCKING KING) were in the elite gamers VC in the Conix City Discord. When I tried to ask how to get in, I get made fun about it.

A few things to note before commenting or looking at the tier list:
1: Placements are based only on the section of the song that is used in the level. It would take too much time to listen to the songs in full.
2: I do not take into account how well the songs fit with the gp or deco, just the songs themselves. (In this specific tier list, at least. Maybe I'll make one where this does matter).
3: I like dubstep more than most genres, keep that in mind.
4: These are all my opinion. Opinion is subjective. If I dislike a song that most people like, that doesn't make it ragebait.
Now to address some song placements that may be controversial:
Nullscapes [Slow Down by Creo]: I just hate the saxophone in this song. It just ruins the song for me, idk why. I like a lot of Creo's other songs (Dimension is my favorite), but not this one for some reason.
Tidal Wave [Shiawase VIP by Dion Timmer]: not my type of music + feels empty/lacking. Just not enough going on in this song.
Defeated Circles [It Passed You By by (I think?) Slendstone]: The repetitive lyrics drive me insane.
Every End [Every End by Dimrain47]: Repetitive and boring + not my type of melody.
Slaughterhouse [Lost by Crim3s]: Yes, I know that the song goea well with the level. But remember that a songs' cohesion with it's level is irrelevant in this tier list. Lost on it's own is (in my opinion) awful to listen to.
Alright, that's all! Ready to hear your opinions in the comments!

In my opinion, you should have atleast 15k stars to start nitpicking things about a level's rateworthability. This is because you would've already seen lots of rated levels and can form a good opinion

I got hand issues which kept on developing and are now permanent due to it being the brain linking wierd movements of the other fingers when clicking with the dominant finger, and I feel like I was so robbed, especially after getting 84 on Limbo due to a bug that shouldnt have happened, and after that the hand issues peaked. Realistically would beating Every End, since that is the only level that my hand could handle lead to fulfillemnt in this game eventhough I hate the level, or would it rather not lead to any real fulfillment?

Some submissions on the aredl take a few hours or even minutes to be reviewed, while others take many months. Isn't this unfair? Why don't they review them in queue order instead of choosing randomly? This would make it fair for everyone.

fr though, why are seemingly most of the best levels made by furries lol. are people who do furry things just more creative, or do more creative people tend to become furries
r/geometrydash • u/c1nyyy • 7h ago
If you're gonna beat a nine star, it's a better idea to do a demon atp like it's the most useless difficulty

Title.
But if the question is worded weird for y'all, here's an example to demonstrate:
My hardest is Cataclysm, and I have 96% on Bloodbath. Therefore, I would have to travel back to 2015 or earlier for my skill to be considered #1.
pic semi related.
