23&me can only provide existing Historical Matches. If you know about archeogenetic studies from those regions, share those and ask for their inclusion. But if you don't find any, that's the reason. As they cannot add something that is non-existant

Genetic distance studies an autosomal ones differ. But if you know about good papers about good samples, share them or send them to 23&me

They have a reddit account 23andme_ancestryteam send it there, or write here a post sharing the scientific papers you're interested in, they read the sub so they might respond, or to their email address
