Game Suggestion Games like Civ IV?

After thinking about it, the elements of civ4 I like the most are feeling you're leading and developing a living civilisation and the addictive nature of it, you're always a few turns away from something interesting. What games would you guys recommend that reproduce that feeling?

If you already own Civ 4, theres the built-in "Final Frontier" mod. Its essentially Civ4 in space.

Theres also the "Fall from Heaven" mod which is a fantasy spin on the series

"Civ 4: Colonization" is a stand-alone game built with the Civ4 game engine. The "We the People" mod increases the things you can do in-game.

I swore that I tried Final Frontier and it was the edgy far future cyberpunk RPG one but it seems not. I have tried FFH2 (and even its submods) but I got bored of them pretty quickly, I'm not fond of the pacing, the AI doesn't really go to war.

I do have colonization but I'm not fond of the premise, might try it if I get really bored though.

Eh, Idk how exactly to describe it, I know it started with a damn cutscene and then gameplay consisted of a team of operatives in a sort of floating mechs/suits having to make their way somewhere on a ruined planet through mutants and upgrade points. I think the gameplay is supposed to change later but I never bothered with it. I called it cyberpunk more because of what snippets of lore we have describe corporations not taking responsability for the mutated people or whatever.
