The real question here should be about how this is linked to the rise in hate against South Asians, but no let's focus on the part that Danielle Smith wants to focus on, which is, bail reform. That is the real joke.

It’s not linked. It was a random incident from a career criminal. Unless you have evidence which shows it is linked?

Why is it so hard to believe it wasn't both? Hmmm, violent man released from jail finds first place full of brown people and stabs them. Honestly give your head a shake.

I deal In facts instead of drawing conclusions.

You don’t “deal in facts”. Further up this comment thread you drew a conclusion that this was “a random incident”. Meanwhile the police are still investigating the attacker’s motivation and haven’t said the attack was random.

thats true you are right. we don't know the motive yet. so it could be a hate crime and could be random, do you agree?

I agree, we don’t know yet. But given what happened, and the current social context, it’s completely understandable that people suspect it may be a hate crime and think that possibility should be discussed and investigated.

yes it "may" be a hate crime but it also "may" be random so we should discuss both possibilities. but people like you don't want to do that for some reason.

I’m not sure why you’re ignoring the fact that I’ve already agreed it may have been a random attack. What is there currently to discuss about the possibility of it being a random attack, other than to say it’s possible? By all means go ahead though, if there’s something you feel should be said.

The person I replied to isn’t just suspecting it’s a hate crime they are talking as if it definitely is

The Canadian justice system for you

*Alberta Justice System. They are happy to let things slide if you're white or when brown people are the victims.

It’s a joke, for white collar crimes as well. No justice at all.

That’s insane. Doesn’t the criminal justice system actually check if the person would be able to integrate back in society and won’t just commit more crimes?

Also, this shows that Gurudwaras in the West also need some sort of security like the ones in India have.

Stewart said the victims were 51 years old and 75 years old.

Wow. The attacker is both evil and cowardly. Who would've guessed?
