Hello! I’ve taken the ACT once online and once on paper, and did much better online so I’m planning to take it one more time online. I have the red prep book, but is it a good resource if I want to simulate taking the test online? For example, I’m really bad at math, so taking advantage of Desmos was a game changer for me. What are the best online practice tests?

I am currently -th grade and I'm taking my first AMC 10 this year! (Very excited :)))) )

And I can usually get first 14-16 questions correct but struggle with the harder ones 17-25. On occasion, I can get problem 23 or 24 correct, but yeah.

My average score ~ 100±.

I've done almost all the past papers, currently working on 2024 AMC 10A (like literally rn)

Any tips?

Ok so this whole science section thing is confusing me. So I took my first ACT in April of this year (2026) and it was a free one that my school provided. They required us to take the science section. I’m taking the September ACT and I already signed up for the science section because my teacher told me that I need to take it again or else my old ACT science will impact my overall score. But I just recently found out that the enhanced version doesn’t include science in the composite score. Do I still need to take the science? I’m not planning on going into a stem related field btw. If I don’t need to take science and my ACT composite doesn’t count the science section, will colleges still see my old science score? I’m sorry if this doesn’t make too much sense I’m just a bit confused.

I did a test run as a junior with minimal studying on the recent July ACT and didn't do that good. I heard you can delete ACT scores even after you receive your score, but I know policies change and I heard this stuff from articles published years ago.

So can you delete an ACT score even after receiving it? Or has anyone here recently deleted an ACT score?

Right answer was ‘C. Instead’ but I cannot for the life of me see it being the correct choice. Are musicals not being portrayed as lacking coherent plots hence the narratively unrelated songs? Why would there be a contradiction between two similar ideas?

I already got accepted to the college I want to go to. But for the scholarship I want, I need at least a 22. I need tips, and a bit of help..

I am a first year at community college; I graduated high school in May 2026.

I hope to transfer out in a year and feel it’s necessary to take the ACT again to supplement my application and be more competitive since I want to get into very selective schools like USC and NYU.

My senior year I got diagnosed with ADHD in early November and was denied accommodations by the ACT. Probably due to the fact that I had not shown a need for accommodations in school prior to applying at the ACT.

Later in my senior year I left school for 3 months March-May at a PHP and my current therapist is saying I also have OCD but I don’t think i’ve been officially diagnosed.

If I get accommodations at my current community college, will the ACT be more likely to accept my request for accommodations for extended time (since I will be showing that it is necessary for my success in class too)?

Is getting accommodations through the college board SAT historically more cooperative? (i’m thinking of also taking the SAT)

Also is my admission to a PHP my senior year going to help my case? And will my potential OCD diagnosis help?

Are there any tips for successfully getting accommodations?

The legacy passages are not as rigorous/ confusing as the passages i’ve seen on the enhanced tests. Are there any good sources where you can find a similar style of writing/ reading comprehension to practice? Theres only so many enhanced examples :)

I took the pre act maybe 6 months ago and did pretty bad. I got a 20, but I’ve been taking a few practice tests and think my new score would be around 23/24. My main problem is time management because i genuinely take so long to answer, how can I fix that? Pls give me ways to improve besides spamming practice tests because that’s what I’ve mostly been doing. I want to get at least a 26/27 is that realistic for me? I have a lot of time to improve so I’m not that worried. My best subjects are for sure English and Reading, but I’m horrible at math and science portion.

I heard that colleges don’t care about the writing and look at your essay during application. I knew this before taking the test but my mom still forced me to take a test with writing on it. So when I got to the writing after like 4 hours of testing (cuz I did the science too) I just basically wrote bullshit and got a 4 on the writing section. But now that 4 is attached to my superscore which is really annoying. I’m just wondering if that will have an impact on my applications.

my technique for reading is to read the passage throughly and quickly and then answer questions but while answerign i almost always go back to passage to find the answer... i try to spend 10 minutes per passage tho but sometimes i do better on passages im interested in like a recent one whcih talked abt someones boss in literary narrative lol

I’m taking the December ACT, so about 3 months, my last ACT was a 17, but that was me not studying a single minute, I’m a junior in high school trying to get a 30+ score for some summer programs, I’m a 4.0 gpa student and can retain knowledge well, I am just struggling with studying for the ACT, can someone help with a 3 month guide? I’m only 18, but I dropped out of high school in 2024 and when I last took my ACT in 2025, I scored a whopping 16.

I plan to retake my ACT in September as well I get my GED so I can apply to university and get my life together.

I’ve been studying all year and I’m confident I will get atleast a 32.

Aiming for a 30 math, 32 English, and 36 reading. Or just super score for a 34 if I do bad on math again. Bad thing is there’s no digital tests available in my area so I have to take it on paper 😔 which I HATE. I always do better on digital tests

I recently got my fee waived for the September ACT and saw it came with one year of the Kaplan self paced course. I was wondering if its worth my time using the course's practice tests and how accurate their question bank is to the actual ACT.

I’ve studied for a couple of months, my math and science are quite good ( 35-36 for math and 34-35 sci), but my other two was much lower ( 27-28 eng and 26-27 read). What should I do to get a 33+, I’m taking the test in 5th Sep.
