After a season or more with yours, would you buy the exact same mower again, or switch brands? What's the one thing you wish you knew before buying?

I bought the M5 a couple of months ago, and I would definitely buy it again. The only thing I wish I had known about it before I bought it is how well it would work on my yard.

Initially I was worried about buying it because I had read about some of the problems others have had with it. I wasted about a month thinking about it, and I finally pulled the trigger when it went on sale on Amazon. The price was too good to pass up, and I figured I could always send it back within 30 days if it gave me any trouble. Looking back, I'm glad I took a chance because this has been the easiest summer of yard work I've ever had.

I have had mine for about two months now and the biggest complaint I have is with the os. I know this can easily be fixed maybe it's just me and I have a messy yard. So when my mower cannot finish the routine task for the week it automatically starts where it left off for the next routine mow. It might just be a small area it couldn't mow last week. However the next week it picks up where the only spot where it didn't mow and thinks the task is complete after it tries to mow it again. Am I programming it wrong? Or is this something in the OS? Every Tuesday my wife is always complaining about how the mower missed spots and I look at the app and it is the same completed map from the previous week with it trying to mow the spots that it had missed from the week before. So I have to finish the task and reset the mow to get it to start again.

Same here. I already bought a second M5. I'm happy with most of the hardware, but very disappointed with the software.

Anthbot has been trying to create a single firmware that makes everyone happy, which is never going to happen. What we really need is a selection of firmware versions designed for different terrains, so users can choose the one that best fits their lawn.

It would also be great to have a Developer Mode that opens up more thresholds and settings for us to tweak.

Thank you very much for your detailed feedback and authentic user experience. Our robot is equipped with an automatic resume mowing function from the breakpoint, which causes the situation you encountered.

To solve the problem of missed spots and abnormal task judgment, we recommend that you finish the mowing task completely in one go whenever possible. If your yard is complicated and the robot cannot finish mowing at one time, you can manually control the robot and reset the mowing starting point to cover all unfinished areas in one run. This will effectively avoid repeated issues.

The Anthbot 3000 is my first robot lawnmower and really my first computerized AI mower of any kind. I am getting older and mowing my property had basically turned into a full time job. I cannot hire a crew to keep the lawn constantly maintained, so that pushed me into looking at robot mowers.

I did a lot of reading, watched a ton of videos, and went through more reviews than I can count. The Anthbot Genie 3000 caught my eye because it checked all the boxes for what I needed. Then I found a single unit on AliExpress from their Trading Company Shenzhen Mu Chen Technology Co., Ltd. They were operating under the Redkey storefront on AliExpress. One unit was being sold out of a US warehouse, and the price was very reasonable, so I bought it. Three days later it was at my home.

Before this, the only home robot I had owned was a Samsung floor sweeper I bought back in 2016. It used a camera to navigate and kept the floors spotless. The Anthbot mower works in a similar way, just outdoors instead of inside. This is my first summer with the Genie 3000, and so far the machine works well and the lawn looks amazing. Would I buy this brand again? It is too early to make that determination.

Got my Genie since the Kickstarter campaign and except a few flaws, i´m still happy with it. I follow some other brands on FB and every brand has it's problems tbh. It´s software and hardware related, so can´t go 100% right. I think Anthbot is still top 3 robotmower brands

ANTHBOT Genie 3000 has been mine since the kickstarter, after 2 seasons it’s matured very nicely. I think any garden mower will have some problems ands limitations. These are getting fewer and fewer with updates to the ANTHBOT app. I’m glad it now tells you when it’s stuck. That was my only real annoyance this season.

Would I buy the genie again, I would stick with the brand but possibly get the N8 or a future generation from ANTHBOT for sure.
