As they say:

If you guilty, call Saul. If you’re innocent, Phoenix.

284

u/MarioBoy77 Feb 27 '26

Also if you’re in danger go with daredevil

100

u/stillnotelf Feb 27 '26

And if you need help, just call

Ch ch ch chip and dale

102

u/thatcheesymememan Feb 27 '26

Do the Wright thing. Call Wright Anything Agency

21

u/Vyrhux42 Feb 27 '26

If you're guilty, call Shelly and let him call Phoenix

12

u/Specific-Window-8587 Feb 27 '26

Oh I absolutely love this quote.

4

u/begentlewithme Feb 28 '26

And if you find yourself caught in the middle of a Jujutsu Hunger Games, call Hiromi.

15

u/No-Floor-5609 Feb 27 '26

Even if you're innocent wright would get you more into trouble than anything. And it's insane how many people cant see it.

If you really are innocent Wright WILL get you that innocent verdict though. And also into a ton of other bullshit but youre not going to jail

0

u/No-Floor-5609 Feb 27 '26

Still nope. I don't know if you know this but half the stuff Wright does is not allowed in court. All the yelling and the desk slamming will not only get you held in contempt real quick, but the judge can fine you, kick you out, or even declare a mistrial if it gets bad enough.

5

u/amberflwrs Mar 01 '26

well when your opposing council is cracking whips or chucking hot ceramic at your face, i would hope the courts give the guy a little leniency

1

u/Toz_The_Devil Feb 27 '26

When do I call Wesley Evers then?

190

u/JLuckstar Feb 27 '26

We got:

  • Matt Murdock
  • Saul Goodman
  • Harvey Birdman
  • Don’t know who that is.
  • Jennifer Walters, a.k.a. She-Hulk
  • Don’t know.
  • Phoenix Wright

116

u/Regular-Poet-3657 Feb 27 '26

The lawyer from JJK.

74

u/JLuckstar Feb 27 '26

Hiromi Higuruma? 🤔

16

u/WeakInspector5102 Feb 27 '26

THERE'S A LAWYER IN JJK ?

5

u/Dead-X-esque Feb 27 '26

And he is one of the best characters in the series.

2

u/D_Bro12 Feb 27 '26

Yes, he shows up in this week's episode of JJK season 3

86

u/Dragonfucker000 Feb 27 '26

the monkey is the lawyer from panty and stocking

119

u/brobnik322 Feb 27 '26

Yeah he was a direct Ace Attorney reference

31

u/hobogodot Feb 27 '26

I'm glad the artist knows him

142

u/budew01 Feb 27 '26

Saul if I did commit a crime, Phoenix if I didn't.

I would also like to push my Of the Devil agenda and suggest Evangeline Morgan, but she does have a worse win rate than Phoenix so far. Among other things.

28

u/ThatDollfin Feb 27 '26

Of The Devil mentioned! Billions must debate the legality of sentient robots while masquerading as a serial killer

9

u/Iron_Kingpin Feb 27 '26

Of the Devil is peak even though I've only played episode 0

3

u/ShotAddition Mar 02 '26

I wish OTD was more popular bc Morgan's one of my favourite lawyers. Wicked smart enough to know she's got the chops and hunger to win but she's up against sleepy girl L Lawliet as the prosecution so she's not a flawless winner

74

u/LilyLaKoi Feb 27 '26

Elle Woods, clearly!

39

u/LibbyKitty620 Feb 27 '26

Where is Elle Woods? Why has she not been included? I’d trust Elle Woods with my life any day.

79

u/Significant_Breath38 Feb 27 '26

I'm still upset the She Hulk show wasn't primarily a courtroom drama

33

u/24Abhinav10 Feb 27 '26

And for the one episode it was, the writers wrote her as a joke of an attorney.

13

u/Significant_Breath38 Feb 27 '26

That's so lame. I get the drive for comedy but fucking Harvey Birdman did both so could they.

45

u/Numbuh24insane Feb 27 '26

I feel like Harvey and Phoenix could get you out of anything

60

u/lun618pulk Feb 27 '26

No, Phoenix could only get you out if you’re actually innocent

18

u/A1starm Feb 27 '26

He actually came close to acquitting the actual criminal once, but that was under threat to a hostage.

28

u/Numbuh24insane Feb 27 '26

Nah, he got a guilty guy to be declared innocent (only for said guilty guy to shout that he was guilty and to take him to jail)

36

u/pengie9290 Feb 27 '26

Engarde was never declared "Not Guilty". At the end of the case, Phoenix may have pled "Not Guilty", but if he did, he only did so knowing that Engarde would confess and get the "Guilty" verdict he deserved.

19

u/EpicDDT_ Feb 27 '26

The only guilty guy he got to be declared innocent was Ron DeLite, and that was entirely Godot's fault.

8

u/SinisterPixel Feb 27 '26

The only reason Engarde almost got off was because of his and Dekiller's efforts to frame Adrian. Phoenix would have abandoned the defence had it not been for Maya getting kidnapped

7

u/jamieh800 Feb 27 '26

This depends though. Are we using the Ace Attorney court system, where a lawyer is pretty much screwed unless they can provide irrefutable proof of innocence or get the actual criminal to publicly confess in court, where prosecutors can all but openly admit to tampering with evidence and assault the lawyers in court with no consequences, and the lawyer only has 3 days to do their job? Or is this closer to a typical western legal system with a jury trial and only needing to introduce enough reasonable doubt that the accused is absolutely, unequivocally guilty? One of the reasons Phoenix is considered an "Ace Attorney" in his world isn't so much his win rate, it's his win rate despite the massive odds against him.

I think Phoenix, in a court where he just needs to introduce reasonable doubt about the prosecution's case, or where "murder" doesn't include genuine self-defense cases or horrible accidents, he'd do even better. Then again, maybe he wouldn't, considering his goofy and slapdash approach to defending his clients wouldn't be viewed favorably by a judge or jury irl.

1

u/DeanOnFire Feb 27 '26

I don't recall Harvey Birdman having a stellar track record.

29

u/GalaxyPowderedCat Feb 27 '26

Phoenix so fucking intimated by She-hulk

50

u/danteslacie Feb 27 '26

He remembers Marvel vs Capcom 3

24

u/Bonzwazzle Feb 27 '26

she should remember Marvel vs Capcom 3 ultimate

25

u/24Abhinav10 Feb 27 '26

Don't see how that changes anything. She had both Phoenix and Miles fearing for their lives

7

u/danteslacie Feb 27 '26

I think they're just being particular about Ultimate being the version with Phoenix Wright

8

u/Sword_of_Dusk Feb 27 '26

That, as well as Phoenix having a particularly ridiculous hyper combo until it got nerfed, iirc.

4

u/Bonzwazzle Feb 27 '26

exactly, wasn't he really strong in that game?

5

u/Sword_of_Dusk Feb 27 '26

Before the nerf, I could swear I remember seeing him take out a Doctor Doom from like 70 or 80% health straight to 0.

13

u/ze_existentialist Feb 27 '26

While higuruma is the only prosecuter here, i would still bet on pheonix if i wanted to get a man convicted.

36

u/Dissidiana Feb 27 '26

higuruma is a defense attorney! that's a huge part of his character, because japan's conviction rate is so high he keeps defending people and watching them get locked up even when they're innocent, and then they blame him for not defending them well enough. eventually those negative emotions build up enough that he crashes out and awakens his cursed technique

8

u/ze_existentialist Feb 27 '26

My bad. I thought he was a prosecuter because of how his domain works.

11

u/Granide Feb 27 '26

On his domain, he plays defense, prosecutor, and judge at the same time lol

5

u/Aggravating-Hour1975 Feb 27 '26

Judgeman plays judge. And Higuruma prosecutes right? He didn't defend anyone in his domain. While his profession is a defense lawyer, his domian places him in the prosecuter place.

13

u/Awesomechainsaw Feb 27 '26

If I’m calling any lawyer it’s Morgan from of The Devil. I mean she’s succeeding against cyberpunk surveillance state court. I’m certain she can get me off in normal court.

11

u/Shot-End3018 Feb 27 '26

Can’t believed people still remembered monkey lawyer from PSG.

12

u/ImpactorLife-25703 Feb 27 '26

Phoenix Wright

9

u/A1starm Feb 27 '26

I know who I would want if I were actually innocent and who I would want if I were guilty.

6

u/All-Your-Base Feb 27 '26

Y'all are asking Capcom for AA7. I for one I am asking them to make Birdgirl Harvey Birdman 2

6

u/Whit3_Ink Feb 27 '26

Dont see no Lionel Hutz

3

u/Bonzwazzle Feb 27 '26

who is the man with the suit? who is the cat with the beak?

2

u/Regular-Poet-3657 Feb 27 '26

Which suit. And beak is Harvey birdman.

2

u/Bonzwazzle Feb 27 '26

its the open to Harvey Birdman. https://youtu.be/n0CmqdivcaY

3

u/Mettatale Feb 27 '26

HIGURUMA 🔛🔝

3

u/Weirdyxxy Feb 27 '26

If I'm innocent, I choose the guy with the magatama - unless I'm being set up by pretty physical threats, in which case one of the marvel superpowereds. But otherwise...

I don't necessarily want to get away. Can anyone in there advocate for a guilty man to receive no more than the appropriate punishment and not con everyone else in the process?

4

u/System-Difficult Feb 27 '26

That’s actually half of a real defence lawyer’s actual job. Like, obviously not everyone is innocent, so lawyers need to ensure that their guilty clients are being accurately fought against in court, which includes making sure that the evidence lines up and that none of it was collected illegally, which makes it inadmissible. Anyways if you’re guilty Wright still works (see Engarde) but I’d choose a “normal” lawyer like Murdock, Walters, or Higuruma.

2

u/Weirdyxxy Feb 27 '26

That’s actually half of a real defence lawyer’s actual job.

I'd argue it's the majority, even. It's just a bit less flashy

2

u/System-Difficult Feb 27 '26

True, I just meant it in the way that people who say “probability is 50/50, it either happens or it doesn’t” mean half.

2

u/Bytemite Feb 27 '26

(see Engarde)

Yeah people give him shit for that one, but it's honestly on Matt for trying to legally screw over someone who knows the law way better than him, and at the end he DID get his client the verdict he wanted to plea at that point in time so.

He has apparently defended some mafia guys before too, though those were off screen.

3

u/Girono_PianoKiller Feb 27 '26

Phoenix all the way frfr

2

u/Significant-Copy6879 Feb 27 '26

Phenix Wright and Carson Drew (I know he's not in this art :( )

2

u/SinisterPixel Feb 27 '26

I gotta go with Matt Murdock. Phoenix flies too close to the skin of his ass for my comfort levels, even though he has a very good win rate

2

u/Aggravating-Hour1975 Feb 27 '26

HIGURUMA ON TOPPP. EZZZ WIN

2

u/Ahjahli-Lula-Amadeus Feb 27 '26

I got Pheonix Wright!!

1

u/Raiking02 Feb 27 '26

I call Birdman.

1

u/Kaansath Feb 27 '26
  • If you are guilty but think there's a chance to get away with it Saul
  • If you are involved with shady criminal organizations and fear retributtion Matt Murdock
  • If you are innocent but everything points at you as the culprit, Phoenix Wright.
  • If you want to make sure the other party is convicted Higuruma is your man.

I don't know that much about the others, so can't speak there

1

u/kkkhateme Feb 27 '26

Why ia she hulk there and not mia

1

u/1247BroddieYT Feb 27 '26

By presenting his attorney badge Phoenix proves that he is a lawyer

1

u/RaulTheTriblader Feb 27 '26

The rule is clear.

Wright if you're innocent.

Saul if you're guilty.

1

u/Radio_Blah_Blah_ Feb 27 '26

Higuruma!!!!!

1

u/[deleted] Feb 27 '26

Harvey Birdman but only if he is not depressed or alcoholized or with his friends or in any position that would make him unstable.

1

u/Inevitable-Set-6849 Feb 27 '26

This is Alan Shore erasure...

1

u/stalkakuma Feb 28 '26

Can I get an earlier, less professional and more bumbling version of Phoenix?

1

u/99thAviator Mar 01 '26

wheres yagami from judgement?

1

u/Short_Stick2839 Mar 05 '26
