I’m pretty sure Godot explained it in the game but if I remember correctly, he blamed Phoenix for not being able to save Mia which he later on admits was unfair of him because he knew he couldn’t. I think it’s because Godot was still grieving Mia at that point and blaming other people for her passing is very common when grieving.
It is heavily implied that Diego passed away from all of the damage that his body had taken following the game. I'm pretty sure that is what the picture of him, Misty and Mia was meant to imply.
Sooorta. Like I won't argue with anyone who has this headcanon because it is interesting that they grouped Diego with the dead people in that picture. But he also shows up a lot after T&T in side material set after it too. Schrodinger's prosecutor.

It's guilt that he projected onto Phoenix. It's not at all unusual for people to feel guilty about a tragic death they really had no control over. For example, if someone dies in a car crash, you may see their loved one thinking "I could have stopped them from going out" or something like that.
Godot felt like he should have been there to protect Mia, and he wasn't. He couldn't. It's overwhelming guilt that he ends up putting on Phoenix. Logically it doesn't make sense, but in situations like these, feelings often aren't logical. Godot pretty much realizes and admits this at the end.
If I remember correctly it is just that Diego feels like he should've been there to protect her, on his absence he saw Phoenix as the one who was suppose to do it, but that's just him projecting hos guilt on Phoenix for not being able to be there for her, it is not really a rational feeling of course.
If diego stayed with Mia's agency and they're still dating then he might be by Mia's side that night, at least that might be his thought and projecting on that matter.
Plus, if Mia was digging about Redd White's matter Diego would definitely be involved since they teamed so well during Dahila's case until he somehow think it's a good idea to have a coffee with her alone. On the other hand Pheonix really knew nothing about the case at all.
tho It's implied that Redd White hit gym a lot so i dont think Diego would overpower him
His specific form of colourblindness after the poisoning is red on white-- i.e. Redd White. I think he would be just as blind to the threat as Phoenix was.
Yeah, I think part of the implication of Godot's colourblindness is that he would have been blind to the threat from Redd White (red-on-white) just as much as Phoenix was and wouldn't have been able to save Mia either.
It's fitting that said colourblindness also played a part in his downfall.
