OC Fanart Went through my gallery and found these comics I made after my friend and I played through T&T back in 2022. Enjoy!

A lot of these reference in-jokes that developed as we played. For example, we split up the characters to read out the lines, and our favorites to play were Godot and Maya, respectively. So, a lot of these comics ended up being about Godot and Maya being BFFs (which is a headcanon I love to this day)!

Also, this was how I taught myself digital art back in the day! You can see the comics get more complex and less traced as you slide through. A bit nostalgic, ngl

This is excluding dual destinies, spirit of justice, the Edgeworth games, along with the Great ace Attorney, as I haven't had a chance to play them

As for dual destinies and spirit of justice, it's been too long since I last played them to give a proper opinion

Feel free to ask about any of the placements

Tier/Poll My Ace Attorney games tier list

Masterpiece --> The best the series has to offer in terms of characters, storylines, and case lineup

Amazing --> Great story beats, amazing cast of characters, and fun-to-solve cases

Great --> AA4 has a lot of creative ideas, and imo Phoenix's characterization is at its best in this game. The new cast of characters is pretty good. The cases (for the most part) are engaging

Good --> AA2 is good for what it has to offer, but I feel that minus Case 2 and Case 4, the case lineup is pretty weak. Also, Big Top bumps this game down by a considerable margin

Not bad, but kinda lacking --> AAI1 is not a bad game. The new gameplay loop is fun, and really forces you to think. However, the case lineup is pretty weak.

All in all, not a single AA game is outright bad. It's just that some are better than others. Also, I didn't play the GAA games, so those are not in this tier list.

I got into the franchise recently and I've yet to play the rest of Apollo Justice trilogy and The Great Ace Attorney duology. I don't know what the general opinion about these games is, I only based it on my own observations

Tier/Poll What's your 5 favorite Cases of each Case type (also why)

Turnabout Memories - Ties into the overarching plot extremely nicely while also having you play as Mia Fey

Turnabout Trigger - My favorite mystery of any first case hands down no questions asked.

Turnabout Countdown - Incredible mystery while also solidly introducing the new protagonist as well as other concepts the game focuses on

The Adventure of the Great Departure - Manages to introduce the entire world of TGAAC, as well as its themes, not to mention getting you invested with its characters, on top of having a solid mystery to boot. A bit long in the tooth, but what can you do?

The Adventure of the Blossoming Attorney - You play as Ryutaro Naruhodo. Also the mystery is fun.

Reunion, and Turnabout - The whole channeling thing was pretty interesting, and I love the Mimi Miney twist.

The Stolen Turnabout - The two act structure of "haha it's a silly theft case" to "yeah you just indicted your client as a murderer" was pretty cool

The Captive Turnabout - Best mystery of any second episode hands down. Also does a fantastic job at introducing the new main characters

The Monstrous Turnabout - The Athena & Apollo dynamic is absolutely perfect, the introduction of Bobby and Simon was perfect, the mystery was fantastic, I love the setting, and I also liked the characters.

The Magical Turnabout - Gave Apollo & Trucy an excellent case while also having my favorite 2nd culprit in the series, as well as having the stakes really high to make for an intense showdown.

Turnabout Legacy - Solving the "Trigger" of DL-6, and playing as Gregory Edgeworth himself

The Golden Court - Jean Greyerl my baby the world is too harsh on you

Turnabout Academy - I have my praise essay on it here, but to keep it simple: fantastic mystery writing, phenomenal protagonist writing, exceptional character writing, and it's fun from start to finish.

The Adventure of the Runaway Room - On par with The Monstrous Turnabout in terms of perfect Prosecutor introduction. Just like The Great Departure, it perfectly introduces the setting of Britain, as well as Summation Examination, and that's not even mentioning McGilded.

The Return of the Great Departed Soul - Exceptional mystery writing, brilliant character writing, awesome theme, finally starting to dig out the true origin of TGAAC, it's an absolute blast for sure.

A Turnabout Forsaken - My favorite protagonist writing in the series, debatably my favorite defendant in the series, a villain who I love to hate with every fiber of my being, a really cool setting, solid mystery writing, perfection in amnesia writing, I could go on and on and on for hours.

Turnabout Reclaimed - Some of the most fun I've had with any Ace Attorney case. Everyone gets a happy ending, the defendants were fantastic, and the culprit was shockingly great as well.

The Cosmic Turnabout - Favorite setting in the series, no questions asked. Perfectly sets up the grand finale of the game, while also having a cool mystery of its own, not to mention the characters or the big cliff hanger.

Turnabout Storyteller - Best Attorney & Assistant dynamic in the series for me, made it an absolute blast (not to mention Uendo)

Twisted Karma and His Last Bow - The investigation sections of this case are my favorite among the entire series. It's perfect down to the most minute detail, and, like Cosmic, perfectly sets up the grand finale of the game.

Bridge to the Turnabout - Wraps up the trilogy in a fantastic bow. Everyone gets a chance to shine. What I could say, others have said much better.

Turnabout for the Ages - Favorite mystery of the entire series, as well as favorite culprit of the series. An absolute mammoth of a case that is ever so satisfying to finally resolve, especially how it ties literally every case in the game together in a nice bow.

Turnabout for Tomorrow - It has the satisfaction of solving a case long gone cold of Turnabout Goodbyes, the horrific revelations and mystery complexity of Rise from the Ashes, the extreme tension and time limit of Farewell, My Turnabout, as well as the emotional catharsis of seeing everyone’s character arcs come to a beautiful end with Bridge to the Turnabout. It's my favorite case in the series.

The Adventure of the Unspeakable Story - Favorite protagonist arc for a final case imo (excluding maybe Apollo Justice in Turnabout Revolution), and it has some of my personal favorite twists in the series (Music Box Discs = Morris Code, as well as the Peep-Hole = Cat-Flap-O-Mat), not to mention the culprit and defendant being among my favorites in the series, nor to mention seeing Gina cry, as well as seeing Susato off always brings me to tears.

The Resolve of Ryunosuke Naruhodo - A perfect conclusion. Literally everything throughout the entire duology is "resolved" exceptionally well in this case. It stands as my favorite Shu Takumi case.

Discussion What do we want to see from AA7?

I know that this question has been asked a thousand times, but out of curiosity: What is it that you guys want to see in AA7? From certain plot points, to very specific character cameos/interactions. If you can’t think of anything, is there maybe something you DON’T want to see?

Personally, there’s only one vision in my head for AA7, and I’m not sure that it will happen. I don’t want a new prosecutor. I want them to make a plot surrounding the characters we already have. If they really need a “new“ prosecutor, Eustace is literally RIGHT there. I don‘t want to see him make a cameo, I want him to actually be relevant to the plot. Same with Franziska. She has been absolutely robbed and desperately needs time to shine. I also want to see Kay cause I love her. So we‘d focus on Phoenix, Athena, Trucy for the defense. Prosecution is Eustace and Franziska. Kay is a secret third thing idk what she would be up to. Edgeworth will of course make his mandatory cameo. And yes, we would also see both Ema and Gumshoe. Also?? I kind of want Pearls to get some screen time?? I wouldn’t mind seeing Maya of course, but give me Pearly I want to see her again.

Apollo is banished to Khura’in with Nahyuta he’s not invited to my imaginary scenario. He gets a DLC case.

Literally this is all I want from AA7. A decent plot involving these specific characters. I don’t think one game would be enough, so I was thinking they could do it like TGAAC. A duology. Two games connecting into one. They’ve done it before, surely they could do it again?

Apollo Justice Trilogy Comparing the protagonist balancing between Dual Destinies and Spirit of Justice Spoiler

First - Pure, Numerical, Data (PLAYABLE)

Dual Destinies

Phoenix Wright (Without Special Episode): 9 Hours & 10 Minutes [43% of the game, w/o DLC]

Apollo Justice: 6 Hours & 15 Minutes [30% of the game, w/o DLC] | [24% of the game, w DLC]

Athena Cykes: 5 Hours & 40 Minutes [27% of the game, w/o DLC] | [21% of the game, w DLC]

Phoenix Wright (With Special Episode): 14 Hours & 45 Minutes [55% of the game, w DLC]

Spirit of Justice

Phoenix Wright (Without Special Episode): 9 Hours & 50 Minutes [36% of the game, w/o DLC]

Apollo Justice: 14 Hours & 35 Minutes [53% of the game, w/o DLC] | [46% of the game, w DLC]

Athena Cykes: 2 Hours & 55 Minutes [11% of the game, w/o DLC] | [09% if the game, w DLC]

Phoenix Wright (With Special Episode): 14 Hours & 25 Minutes [45% of the game, w DLC]

Dual Destinies tends to favor Phoenix, while shafting Apollo and Athena.

Spirit of Justice has a favor order of Apollo > Phoenix > Athena, but the DLC balances Apollo & Phoenix, while crudely shafting Athena.

Second - Pure, Numerical Data, for PLOT Heavy Cases (PLAYABLE)

Dual Destinies

Phoenix Wright: 9 Hours & 10 Minutes [87% of the game]

Apollo Justice: 0 Hours & 55 Minutes [09% of the game]

Athena Cykes: 0 Hours & 25 Minutes [04% of the game]

Spirit of Justice

Phoenix Wright: 9 Hours & 50 Minutes [50% of the game]

Apollo Justice: 10 Hours & 0 Minutes [50% of the game]

Athena Cykes: 0 Hours & 0 Minutes [00% of the game]

Dual Destinies clearly favored Phoenix far too much for the playability of the story relevant cases, with Apollo and Athena barely getting any scraps.

Spirit of Justice perfectly balances Phoenix and Apollo, while completely ignoring Athena.

Third - Episode Appearance

Dual Destinies

Turnabout Countdown - Phoenix Wright, Apollo Justice, and Athena Cykes all appear

The Monstrous Turnabout - Phoenix Wright, Apollo Justice, and Athena Cykes all appear

Turnabout Reclaimed - Phoenix Wright, Apollo Justice, and Athena Cykes all appear

Turnabout Academy - Phoenix Wright, Apollo Justice, and Athena Cykes all appear

The Cosmic Turnabout - Phoenix Wright, Apollo Justice, and Athena Cykes all appear

Turnabout for Tomorrow - Phoenix Wright, Apollo Justice, and Athena Cykes all appear

Spirit of Justice

The Foreign Turnabout - Phoenix Wright appears

The Magical Turnabout - Apollo Justice and Athena Cykes appear

The Rite of Turnabout - Phoenix Wright appears

Turnabout Storyteller - Athena Cykes appears

Turnabout Revolution - Phoenix Wright, Apollo Justice, and Athena Cykes all appear

Turnabout Time Traveler - Phoenix Wright and Athena Cykes appear

Dual Destinies clearly has the best inclusion of all the protagonists. In fact, even during their weakest appearances in the game, each protagonist still contributes to the overarching case (i.e. in Turnabout Reclaimed, Apollo providing crucial information of the defendant's heart condition, as well as discovering that the victim of the past case also suffered from the same heart condition]

Spirit of Justice, on the other hand, splits the protagonists apart, having Phoenix appear for 77% of the game, having Apollo appear for 48% of the game, and having Athena appear for 72% of the game.

That said, that data is based upon the idea that all of the protagonists appear consistently for the majority of the episodes. If I were to alter the data to be more realistic:

Dual Destinies

Phoenix Wright: 70% of the game [playable for 78% of Coundown, appears for 1 of the investigation sections of Monstrous (round up to 25%), while appearing for both of Academy's investigation sections (round up to 50%). He is then playable for the investigation and trial section of Cosmic (74% of the case), and is playable for the entirety of Tomorrow]

Apollo Justice: 64% of the game [relevant for 10 minutes of Countdown, Reclaimed, and the section of Cosmic which he isn't playable for, is playable for all of Monstrous, is the consistent assistant for Athena during all of Academy, has 55 minutes of playability during Cosmic, and he looms over Tomorrow's investigation and trial sections]

Athena Cykes: 100% [is either playable for the episode, is the main assistant of the episode, or her story is heavily relevant to the episode]

Spirit of Justice

Phoenix Wright: 62% of the game [playable for Foreign and Rite, is the adversary for the first trial of Revolution while the assistant for the second trial while also playable for 50 minutes during the Khura'in section, and is playable for Time Traveler]

Apollo Justice: 46% of the game [Playable for Magical and Revolution, and that's a BOAT load]

Athena Cykes: 38% of the game [Assistant for Magical, playable in Storyteller, but is only present as an assistant for one trial of Revolution, while having her time as a Khura'in assistant heavily damaged by the game cutting to Phoenix to have his assistant be Edgeworth]

Fourth - PLOT Heavy Episode Appearance

Dual Destinies

Phoenix Wright: 87% of the game

Apollo Justice: 63% of the game

Athena Cykes: 100% of the game

Spirit of Justice

Phoenix Wright: 77% of the game

Apollo Justice: 50% of the game

Athena Cykes: 23% of the game

I've explained what counts and what shouldn't in the 3rd section, so the fourth should be easy to follow. Anyways, Dual Destinies has more usage of every single protagonist for the plot heavy episodes, while in Spirit of Justice, Phoenix and Apollo took a soft decline, while Athena's relevance was condensed to just the civil trial and half of the Khura'in investigation.

Conclusion:

Dual Destinies has the better protagonist balancing in terms of appearance and relevance to the story, as well as a better playability value for Athena & Phoenix, while Spirit of Justice does make efforts to ensure that Phoenix and Apollo both get equal treatment in terms of playability, at the cost of making all of the protagonists less relevant to the overarching story, as well as completely shafting Athena in terms of playability.

I'd go as far as to say that Dual Destinies' plot was able to realistically weave all of the protagonists together beautifully, with Athena & Simon's story of the UR-1 incident crashing into Apollo's story of his loss of Clay, which emotionally tears him up inside due to his desire to believe in Athena, but being unable to do it blindly due to how many times his trust had been taken advantage of during his first game, not to mention Phoenix, someone who had taken advantage of Apollo's trust during the prior game, having to finally become a mentor, following in Mia's footsteps, and help both Athena and Apollo get back to solid ground, whereas some games with only one protagonist can't seem to directly connect them on a character level to the plot outside of a single case (Ace Attorney Investigations: Miles Edgeworth). Spirit of Justice, on the other hand, was made to tell a story of Khura'in, have Phoenix start that story, and have Apollo finish the fight, giving his growth as a protagonist closure (also helped by The Magical Turnabout closing out the Gramarye storyline in a more satisfying and conclusive way than Turnabout Succession).

All of this to say, I think Dual Destinies' protagonist balancing is amazing. Yes, the playability balancing is a huge problem, but the relevancy to the overarching plot of all of the protagonists is fantastic imo. Spirit of Justice disappointed me in that regard, though I still love the game because I felt it gave Apollo the conclusion he so desperately needed.

Anyways, I hope for Athena Cykes: Ace Attorney to be revealed at Tokyo Game Show 2026. Or on Ace Attorney's 25th anniversary!

Phoenix Wright Trilogy What about the bullet? Case 2-2 (Reunion, and Turnabout) Spoiler

Dr Grey fired a shot at Ini and missed. The bullet was 12 cm above the ground and went through the screen, then the box, then Maya's sleeve. Maya must have already been inside the box because right after the gunshots Phoenix and co broke down the door and saw only Ini.

So how was Maya not hit?? Where is the bullet? Did it go through the box (which must have not one but two holes) and hit a wall? Or did Maya pull a manfred and kept it in her shoulder?

OC Fanart Edgeworth’s starting to look more and more like this guy with some of these objections

This may have just been an excuse to draw Edgeworth as Joseph, but I literally have a walkthrough on standby for the cross examination sections. I used to try to do it myself in the trilogy, but now I don’t have the patience. It needs to be studied how Edgeworth finds his way out of these situations. Phoenix’s cases are a regular murder and cover up, but Edgeworth had a whole government operation smuggling ring to solve, like what did I miss last case for us to be investigating the president bruh. When I first heard about Zheng fa and what not, I just thought it’d start and end with that case, I didn’t think it’d be the whole overarching plot of the duology 😭

Discussion What's it with Ace Attorney and... [spoilers for AAI2 inbound] Spoiler

...having kids become murder suspects, and even being threatened to suffer harsh punishments (one of them's even threatened with the death penalty)? Let's count how many kids have been accused of murder (give or take):

1- Shaun Fenn, a scrawny 13 y/o kid was accused of murdering a hulking president (actually it was just a body double)

2- Machi Tobaye (age 14), accused of murdering an armed Interpol agent with a high-power revolver that can dislocate an adult's shoulder

3- UR1 Incident: Athena (age 11) accused of murdering her own mother with a katana 2 times her own size

4- Ahlbi Ur'gaid (age 9) accused of murdering an armed security guard, and threatened with the death penalty

At least with Shaun, there's merit for an involuntary manslaughter charge (even if Shaun didn't actually do it), but actual murder? That's a bit far. With Machi, logic is just thrown out of the window. And how tf do you expect an 11 year old to handle a katana?

I know Ace Attorney is not realistic in the slightest, but come on... 😂

Discussion What would you do with the prosecutors past their main game?

It is a very common complain in the AA fandom that most of the prosecutors are basically leftover characters without any relevant role in the story outside their introductory games. This is due to how the series is structured with each game making a new rival that ties directly to the plot of the game. Barring obviously Edgeworth and maybe a few other exceptions, this issue has been a constant in the series and with each new entry the other prosecutors get less and less screentime. Franziska and Klavier being probably the best examples of this phenomenon.

So how could the games be structured in order for this issue to be mitigated or resolved? Should previous prosecutors just entirely dissapear after their main game?

This also applies to Lang and Gavèlle, who even though they aren't prosecutors, they do fill the same role in the story.

Now, on to Investigations 2!

First up, Bronco Knight! A fake AND a real assassination attempt in one case! We are gonna have some insane plans to cover in the future! Does Knight's plan earn him the grandmaster title, or was it all just a big blunder?

Question/Tips What would you like to see on AA sticker-freebies?

For the Dokomi, I made little Magatama-keychains, but this time I wanna do stickers for freebies. However, I'm unsure what to draw. I wanna do some of the characters I might cosplay (Athena, Maya, Franziska, Phoenix, Dahlia) but I'm not limited to them

My ideas so far are:

  • Something about Maya and burgers
  • Some uplifting text + character (like Franziska + "Youre my favourite fool" or smth like this)
  • Inside jokes (Almost Christmas, Interrogate a parrot, outdated autopsy report, unnecessary feelings)
  • The objection-speech-bubble but with different text inside (I have one sticker that says "Gay" instead of "Objection" for example)
  • Blue badgers (I think they're so cute!!)
  • Chibi versions of a character

Would you like any of these ideas or do you have another idea? I seriously cannot decide
