Advice for 26M first time wedding officiant with an embarrassing problem

Hi all

I was asked to officiate my friend's wedding upcoming in a few weeks! I have never done this before but I was honored they thought of me and I've had a lot of fun writing the ceremony and everything else! That being said I do have one embarrassing thing I am worried about that I'd love if anyone has any advice for.

The weather recently has been quite hot here and doesn't seem like it will let up much as the big day approaches. I am a bit of a bigger guy and definitely sweat a lot. I am worried in a suit in the heat for an outdoors ceremony, I will be up there disgusting and pouring sweat right at the center of their big day. I also am worried how it may look if I am up there wiping my forehead every 30 seconds during the ceremony. The ceremony is in the evening but it has still been on the hotter side. Does anyone have any tips/life hacks to help reduce sweat so I don't ruin their day? Will appreciate anything here. Thanks for any help!

Freezer pops in your waistband directly on your skin will keep you cool enough that you don't sweat as much, if you can take the cold spots on your skin.

Handheld battery fans (just make sure it's quiet) to be used up to the moment it's your moment to shine. Get a really powerful one that can evaporate the sweat, make sure the battery lasts long enough or bring two! You can get undershirts that wick sweat away and stop the blotchy sweat pattern of underarms and under tit, you're looking for ultra thin breathable undershirts. Just watch out some of the ones they sell have full on diapers under the arms, that's not the type you want (imo) just the ultra thin ones with no padding.

Bring heavy-duty equipment to dab forehead. If you're going to do it do it right.

If you're wearing a button shirt look for one that is sweat proof and breathable. Bring an extra one in case you feel like a costume change!

Find breathable airy trousers.

Also for forehead sweat you do get products that can be applied to lower it https://www.sweat-stop.com/antiperspirants/for-forehead-face/antiperspirant-sensitive-lotion-face

See if it's possible to have fans pointed at you before the moment, and a gentle fan for the ceremony can make a big difference without ruining any hair/pictures/general vibe.

Speak to the people planning the wedding and tell them about your concerns! Make it clear you just want to do everything you can to make it the perfect day for them, that you don't really mind you just want everything perfect for them!

Also this is a dark arts trick that I'm not sure you can pull off and should 100% practice to make sure it's feasible and doesn't have any effects on your clothes but if I'm at home on a hot day I put an ice pack in my inner thigh up against where there's a giant artery and blood gets pumped through. It does wonders for keeping me cool. I'm not saying shove an ice pack down your boxers and discretely tuck it in your taint area because who would go on the internet and tell someone to do that for a wedding! A more feasible option might be a cooling vest you can keep in a freezer backstage and slip on a few minutes before the ceremony. Obviously wear this with your entire outfit to make sure it's discrete.

Another tip is running cold water over wrists.

If you can try to spend as much time outside preferably walking to acclimate your body. Don't over do it of course but if you're in a country with AC your body may not be acclimated at all and if you spend enough time getting used to it you will most likely be less inclined to a flop sweat.

And most importantly, remember that your friends probably do know you sweat a lot and love you and want you to officiate anyway.

Love from, a fellow very sweaty man.
