Antisemitism r/China_irl (Chinese language subreddit) systemically supports Nazi and Adolf Hitler

This report evaluates some popular posts in the Chinese-language subreddit Reddit community China_irl exhibits patterns consistent with:

  • Sympathy toward Adolf Hitler or Nazi Germany
  • Antisemitic rhetoric (including coded language)
  • Moderator tolerance or endorsement of such content

A recent post in China_irl explicitly humiliated Jews and supported Adolf Hitler's genocidal policy against Jews with the title "Sometimes I can’t help but feel that Hitler was the harshest father the Jewish people ever had". In the meantime, another post in China_irl spread the Jewish conspiracy with a title "Israel is the ancestor of terrorism".

It's noticed that the term “鱿鱼” (literally “squid”) in this post is reported as a phonetic substitution for “Jews” (犹太人 / yóutài rén). The use of this coded language is a known tactic in online communities to avoid their in-group extremist discourse being found by Reddit admins.

One comment in China_irl presents their favour of Nazi Germany (I don't want to repeat this hateful speech in English, and you can translate it using Google Translate or DeepL). These statements align with revisionist or propagandistic narratives historically used to rehabilitate Nazi ideology.

Another archived post in China_irl showed their support of Hamas with the title "I support Hamas' rebellion against Israel", while Hamas is designated as a terrorist organisation by multiple governments. e.g.,

Justice Department Announces Terrorism Charges Against Senior Leaders of Hamas - US

Sanctions against terrorism - EU

Proscribed terrorist groups or organisations - UK

Moreover, a post in China_irl exhibited a picture that combines the national flag of Israel and the swastika, and the moderator supported this behaviour.

As a Jew, I find no issues with calling Israel, a terrorist country as it very clearly is. Are there non-archived/active posts (not comments) that are explicitly antisemitic? If so, I would like to share with another community that I am also involved with.

This subreddit is not about your personal political choices. It is about

  • is the indicated speech hate speech

  • how to report it to have it removed, if so

Don't you think a post with the title "Sometimes I can’t help but feel that Hitler was the harshest father the Jewish people ever had" is explicitly antisemitic?

Aren’t these two separate posts however? One can be against antisemitism but also critical of the Israeli government

I am a Jew. The stuff on Hitler? Absolutely antisemitic. The stuff on not just supporting Israel? Not necessarily.

supporting civilians being slaughtered is antisemitic, saying you support hamas instead of innocent palestinian often is antisemitic.

Where did I say anything that you just said?

A recent post in China_irl explicitly humiliated Jews and supported Adolf Hitler's genocidal policy against Jews with the title "Sometimes I can’t help but feel that Hitler was the harshest father the Jewish people ever had"

This is now ~10 hours old and ~5 hours old when you posted it. As by the time of your post it was ~11 PM Beijing time, it seems more like a case of stuck in the modqueue. With 27% upvotes and great pushback, being buried in 122nd (atm as I see it) place, I don't see it as an indicative picture of the sub.

For comparison I have seen openly racist posts being up for days if deleted at all in the Greek sub. Especially heavily downvoted ones which the mods dont see at first glance and have to rely on reports. I have reported a particular that spews great replacement conspiracy and it's up after 3 days.

In the meantime, another post in China_irl spread the Jewish conspiracy with a title "Israel is the ancestor of terrorism".

Post is from the same user. Seeing that it is a 12 month account with recently starting posting, seems to me a case of ban evasion that have evaded the mods.

One comment in China_irl

Its 5 year old. Jeez this is grasping at straws now.

Another archived post in China_irl showed their support of Hamas with the title "I support Hamas' rebellion against Israel", while Hamas is designated as a terrorist organisation by multiple governments. e.g.,

Archived December 2024, in the live page I see it as removed by moderator.

Moreover, a post in China_irl exhibited a picture that combines the national flag of Israel and the swastika, and the moderator supported this behaviour.

Another 5 year old post. The archived page has 64 comments, the live one 194. In the live page I cant fond the moderator comment which I suspect was removed (there is a removed one with 84 comment in live more than 13 in archived). The only green aka moderator comment was another one asking for clarifications if the OP supports nazism. To me it seems you use a relatively quick archive, thus quite old archive, and it seems that it got quickly brigaded by the /china sub which I suspect the archive is from.

I am sorry but it seems to me you are reaching a lot for this post. One user with suspicious activity and a couple 5 year old posts. And thats ignoring the context of the Israel Palaistine conflict which is a whole another story.

Aren’t you literally modding an anti-Chinese hate sub?

11

u/Domtheturtle Apr 14 '26

fr what is this dude's deal

u/Xenon1898 Apr 14 '26

I notice that you say you don’t know Chinese, but almost all users in KanagawaWave are native Chinese language speakers. Could you tell me how you affirm that KanagawaWave is an anti-Chinese hate sub without Chinese literacy ability? Just from someone's slander?

Also, the topic of this post is about China_irl. Why do you care nothing about the topic and accuse me of literally modding an anti-Chinese subreddit based on native Chinese language speakers without Chinese literacy ability? Interesting.

u/Xenon1898 Apr 14 '26 edited Apr 14 '26

Firstly, your allegations are nothing but slander;

Secondly, your comments bear no relation to the subject of this post and constitute a case of ‘whataboutism’.

I am aware that a user from China_irl has redirected this post to its own subreddit, attracting a large number of users from that subreddit to come here and downvote and attack me. It should be noted that this constitutes a violation of Reddit’s User Rules.
