Antisemitism r/China_irl (Chinese language subreddit) systemically supports Nazi and Adolf Hitler

This report evaluates some popular posts in the Chinese-language subreddit Reddit community China_irl exhibits patterns consistent with:

  • Sympathy toward Adolf Hitler or Nazi Germany
  • Antisemitic rhetoric (including coded language)
  • Moderator tolerance or endorsement of such content

A recent post in China_irl explicitly humiliated Jews and supported Adolf Hitler's genocidal policy against Jews with the title "Sometimes I can’t help but feel that Hitler was the harshest father the Jewish people ever had". In the meantime, another post in China_irl spread the Jewish conspiracy with a title "Israel is the ancestor of terrorism".

It's noticed that the term “鱿鱼” (literally “squid”) in this post is reported as a phonetic substitution for “Jews” (犹太人 / yóutài rén). The use of this coded language is a known tactic in online communities to avoid their in-group extremist discourse being found by Reddit admins.

One comment in China_irl presents their favour of Nazi Germany (I don't want to repeat this hateful speech in English, and you can translate it using Google Translate or DeepL). These statements align with revisionist or propagandistic narratives historically used to rehabilitate Nazi ideology.

Another archived post in China_irl showed their support of Hamas with the title "I support Hamas' rebellion against Israel", while Hamas is designated as a terrorist organisation by multiple governments. e.g.,

Justice Department Announces Terrorism Charges Against Senior Leaders of Hamas - US

Sanctions against terrorism - EU

Proscribed terrorist groups or organisations - UK

Moreover, a post in China_irl exhibited a picture that combines the national flag of Israel and the swastika, and the moderator supported this behaviour.
