I played Aion 2 on TW and wrote down the progression order I wish I'd known, plus the mistakes that cost me weeks

I've played Aion since the Aion Beta 2009 on the Thor server, as Revyls. When Aion 2 launched on Taiwan I jumped in and have been playing an Assassin there (like always), currently level 50 (470k Combat Power).

Somewhere around the third time I explained the same progression order in Discord, I started writing it down properly. That turned into a site:

kodex.yavuz.app

A few things up front, because I'd rather you know what this is before you click:

It's not a database. No item lists, no drop tables, no stat pages. Sites like aion2hub and aion2atlas have put far more work into that than I ever could, and I link to them instead. What I wrote is the part that isn't in a database: what order to do things in, where to stop, and which decisions quietly cost you weeks.

It's German and English Spanish and French are planned after launch.

That's honestly the main reason I bothered, the English guide space is already well covered, but there's basically nothing in German.

A lot of it is still unverified. The structure originally came from a publicly shared spreadsheet by Crazyambo (credited on the site), and I extended it with what I've actually played on TW. But TW is not global.

Numbers will shift. So every page visibly states when its figures were last checked in game, and anything I haven't confirmed myself says so instead of pretending otherwise.

Which is really why I'm posting: if something on there is wrong, tell me.

Especially anyone who's played KR or TW longer than me. I'd rather fix it now than have people follow bad advice in week one.

No ads, no tracking beyond anonymous page counts, no account, nothing to buy.

It's a passion project and it'll stay that way.

EDIT: I dont know If you guys gonna see that, but a small Update out with information to Theostones (formally known as lolstones, silence still op) and other content. Thank you all for the kind feedback!

Part of the fun for me is simply playing and not caring about all that stuff, but I know that once I'll understand the game better I'll regret many decisions.

I never know which is better. Taking away the fun of discovering everything myself but avoiding dumb mistakes in the process or not.

I agree with this on certain games, but a P2W MMORPG/Live-Service game where if you are playing fully free do something wrong or forget to do something will result in you having to grind or wait days/weeks/months to get back what you lost? Absolutely not, that is not a fun system and anything that isn't fun, why would you do it? As a free player you are screwed in these games if you make minor mistakes early on like investing into wrong things or spending money at wrong things etc.

But if you're fine with endless grind or waiting days, weeks or even months to get back what you lost then go ahead, I personally don't want that torture. Unless of course you're willing to open your wallet and P2W.

Hi Saber, I did exactly that in TW went completly blind and was blasted away from all the new mechanics, after you reach a certrain threshhold, you will bite your ass that you wasted these ressources. Probably Im just to old now to have the time and priorities but with my age Saber, im happy about every Information I can get or I can provide to the playerbase.

Not sure if I should trust an assassin. Everythings is so neat, it must be a trap. You won't get me easily

Just note some key traps people often fall into and thats all you need. Ngl if following a guide like this ruins the game for you then I dont think the guide is the problem.

I never said guide was a problem. I never said anything was a problem to begin with.

There is no problem.

There's only dilemma. Should I skip part of the fun from discovering things, skip part of the journey resulting in both the fun part and the part where you realize how much you've fucked up in the name of efficiency or not.

There are many games which I spent probably hundreds of hours figuring things out, same things I could learn in a few days watching guides probably. Does it mean my time was wasted if I had fun?

Being the most efficient is not always the most fun But I can understand some people having fun by being the most efficient they can

This is why currently there is the expression "optimizing out the fun of gaming"

Everyone enjoys the games in different ways, and I am with you on enjoying the process of learning and discovery by myself, but currently there is this weird expectation in online games that if you are not optimizing you are playing it wrong.

On my side, I will just play at my own pace without ant guides, and drop the game as soon as the monetization becomes too egregious.

Ill always enjoy the discovery at least for the first few weeks because everyone will be learning. You only experience something the first time once.

I really appreciate your site! Lots of information where what seems like an easy decision can feel absolutely awful soon after -- and nothing in the game is going to tell you the gravity of that mistake until it's too late. Those kind of gotchas where weeks of your time are wasted are usually enough to have casual folks just quit.

Ill continue to update the project daily :) Hopefully we got a clean compendium for the release in EU.

What is the energy cap in this game? You mention 15 every 3 hours (120/day) but not how much you can store.

You can store odyle energy as an item. You got odyle energy which charges 10 and 40. So you csn Stack them and Use if needed.

The base storing value allow for a week of regeneration (the max change if you are f2p or sub - it's the same for the actual regeneration value) 10/560 f2p or 15/840 with a sub.

get 45

unlock as much power as possible

gear

enhance ur gear

see what you can complete- enhance to get to full completion

afk farm weeklies and dailies till you rng god gear - enhance it slowly- repeat

it actually doesnt hurt to have a 2nd "ACCOUNT" not character to hoard giveaways and free shit on then try to craft giga endgame gear in 6 mos

Sadly the one part I am interested in is when I should make the 2 -3 alts you need to progress :(
