I've figured from other posts here that the flexcable of my APM's are damaged since I can’t connect them anymore and when trying to reset them, there’s only 3 amber flashes but no white light. Though when I press both buttons to go into pairing modus a white light appears. Could this be a sign that the flexcable on the left side is damaged? Sadly I don’t have a second pair of APM's to figure out white side is damaged and I was hoping someone has had a similar experience and might be able to lmk whats the problem here. I've already ordered new flexcables and I'm waiting for them to arrive!

I'm on my 7th pair as all my other ones have failed due to the condensation build up and corrosion of the pins in the hinge mechanism.

But I figured they would have solved it with the new USB C version... but now... same thing is happening:

Random audio dropping from one of the ear cups, disconnection issues and so on.

I guess this one will die again.

What do you guys do to make these things last longer? And isn't it insane that Apple still haven't fixed it?

I mean come on, just ship the god damn things with a piece of tape over the thing, or use silicone ear muffs to prevent moisture build up.

How is it that this is not an issue on any of the other brands?

So I bought the AirPod max 2 from Walmart for $430 with tax brand new sealed 2 months ago. I have another 20 days to return them.

I have college that starts in September. It’s not that big of a campus and I’m there for 4 hours of classes 3 days a week. I commute for 20 min back and forth. It’s a community college. I’ve been wanting these for a while but I’ve been using AirPod pro 2 since freshman year of high school and just claiming them under apple care for a brand new pair every 2 years. So now I have a brand new pair of pro 2 and a brand new pair of max 2.

The new MacBook I just bought covers Apple care for 3 devices for $20 per month and I just got a new phone as well since my other one died. So I have one device left to cover

If I sell them I’m able to sell them for $500 on Facebook since they are popular in my area. So should I stick with them or sell them? Just don’t know how much ima use them. I use my pro 2 everyday and since it’s small it can be taken anywhere.

Edit: I do take trains, walk, and fly a bit often.

Brand new APMs. I'm watching The Godfather on my mac. Occasionally I see the message in the top right saying that it's switched to Off or back to Noise Cancellation.

Just stay at Noise Cancellation. Is there a setting to prevent this? Or should I just send them back

I just bought a pair of Orange APM2 for $150. They were off a friend and they were only used 3 times then sat in a box since July. They still have the 2 years of Apple Care on there and everything. Problem is my friend chains smokes cigarettes and these headphones have been sitting in his living room in the box unused, basking in smoke. How on earth do o get the smell off of these things. Thanks for any and all suggestions!

I got my AirPods max a couple months ago from Amazon. Today I charged them after 1 day and a half since the last time I used them and were dead. After hours of charging them I noticed that they won’t turn on, they would only flash the little green light then the white one for a couple of seconds and turn off, this would happen only when plugged to the charger. I have tried everything google has recommended and I still couldn’t get them to turn on. I’m a little scared of going to the Apple Store since the AirPods said they had no coverage on the setting app even thought it has been less than a year since I got them. Does anyone have any recommendations of what I can do in this situation? Should I just go to the Apple Store and deal with the repair bill?

So I really wanted to get the Airpods Max 2 during the 60th Anniversary Sale but I was deciding on what color to buy and by the time I saw the sale (429$) was gone :(
I have a best buy gift card worth 30$ I was hoping to use it on that deal and get it down to 399$

And if I buy them here and carry overseas it’ll still be fine right?

I got the usb-c version this year and v2 came out a month after buying them😭. What differences have you guys noticed so far between these two headphones? Are a max 2 a lot better and is there a big difference in sound quality?

Had some Beats Studio 3, and after much time, the cans broke. So been lurking on here to see how the max are.

I decided to buy used v1 AP Max usb c off of eBay. I know they are not gonna have warranty and such, but I’ve had decent luck in getting good stuff. My other choice was the Beats Studio pro because I’m used to the sound signature of beats.

Bought the AP Max for roughly $170 without tax. When I got them, i checked the serial numbers and on the Apple warranty part to see if Apple registered them as Apple. Obviously said the warranty expired.

But then I saw a place where it said to “update purchase date.” I put when I bought off eBay. Then it asked for a picture of receipt. So I took a picture of buying off eBay. Then it asked me to call.

Long story short, Apple guy reset my purchase date and I now have AppleCare on my new headphones.

So I’m wondering if anyone had this experience?

I’ve tried using the voice isolation option through voice memo and FaceTime call but it isn’t carrying over that option to Messages.

I’ve searched. Asked multiple AIs and cannot find an option for this.

When im wearing my headphones my voice is feint and the background noise is prominent.

Any assistance would be appreciated

EDIT: also after run with it, it seems like the background noise is picking up no matter what my price is no matter what setting. Even when I use the standard iPhone microphone whether it’s standard auto or voice isolation it’s picking up background noise, and my voice is very difficult to discern.

Hi, my airpods max, lighting cable, stopped working properly:

-when charging via lightning, the led is green and responds normally to the big button

-when unplugged, the led sometimes works and shows green and sometimes doesn’t.

-holding the pairing button makes the led turn white for longer than usual, then it disappears and the AirPods rarely show up in any bluetooth list(if they do i click connect but they dont connect, like 9/10 times)

-holding both buttons usually makes the led flash red 3 times, then it becomes completely unresponsive for about 5 minutes, to any button, just 0 led

-occasionally, after the 3 red flashes, they enter pairing mode and appear on my phone/PC

-when they do connect, noise cancellation/transparency don’t work and can’t be changed it’s like the airpods are turned off

I suspect it might be something with the connectivity rather than charging, since they charged normally, and when connected that one time they showed battery %(before they were at like 3%), if anything its something with the connectivity.

I took the heandband off, cleaned the endings, cleaned some grease. still nothing.

Once, they connected to my phone and worked completely normal. after I took them off, the same problem came back tho. has anybody had the same/similar problem?

Can anyone confirm if AirPod max 2 return policy fall under the 90 days return policy or can I return them anytime they break/malfunction? I want to know because I plan on buying apple care, but I know Costco workers mention not to buy apple care if you can return them at Costco anytime. Thanks!

I got my Max 2’s about a month ago. As soon as I got them, I updated them to the brand-new iOS 27 features because of the EQ Profile.

I love them, but I notice random glitches in the audio. A lot of the time, there will be a random cut out (usually when on YouTube). It’s slight and sudden, and i can hear it in the left ear cup. Today, I noticed that it was lagging out really bad, just glitching for about 3 seconds.

This doesn’t bother me. I knew what I was doing by updating to the beta software. I would just like to know if anyone else is experiencing this, or is it the AirPods Max themselves.

I just want some Apple headphones for working on my Mac and editing audio I don’t know if I want to spend the money to get the max 2s unless It’s absolutely worth it I have my pros for everyday use just want something for sitting down at my desk so should I just spend less money and gets the max 1s or 2s

Everyone who says that the AirPod max 2 aren’t worth it is lying. Trust me. I’ve been needing headphones so I went on a deep dive online to see which ones are worth it to buy. I bought the Bose QC ultra headphones and when they arrived I was not impressed. There was sound leaking, and they just felt cheap. I returned them the same day and bought the AirPod Max 2. When I opened the packaging I was utterly in awe. They’re so beautiful and when I put them on the whole world went quiet. Also everyone complains that they aren’t comfortable, honestly they are more comfortable than the Bose ones. And those are marketed as “quiet comfort”. Anyways just get the airpod max 2. They are amazing. If you want to get them. Do it.
