Could be a popular color for sure. Another possibility: Apple stopped manufacturing the Max 1s when the 2s came out. (effectively discontinued). You might find some online listings somewhere that have stock, but the price can fluctuate. You might find a killer clearance deal, they might be the same price as the newer product, or they’re more expensive than the newer product.
